You can substitute an ITIN for an SSN on the I-9 form?
Why is NY making every concerted effort to make paperwork more difficult in every aspect of life?
If I claim zero allowances on my NY Withholding IT-2104 form that I have to fill out for this internship that starts in June 2024 and ends in August 2024 where I would only end up making 2.7K for the year at the end of August 2024, and my parents still claim me as a “credit for other dependent” on their 2024 joint tax return next year, could I still file my own 2024 tax return next year too or no despite the fact that I will most likely be claimed?

The W2 will show the ITIN? Because w2 with 00000 or blank are not valid
The W2 will show the ITIN number starting with the number “9”.
@@PayrollSimplified the software doesn’t accept that number, I have someone that way and we have to mailed the return no efile
@@dayalexa9383 Our software allows us to transmit W2s with ITINs. Businesses come to us alone for this reason.

Sound very good to me I did not know ITIN could use to work in the US so the person would get the ITIN and then talk to the employer add on the payroll

No, two years later , social security office send u notice that itin employee not on their system

This all depends on your state regulation. This is a NY State rule.
