JR's Projects

JR's Projects

DIY for Auto, Home, RV and Home Improvement. On this channel I work all sorts of projects around the house ranging from Automotive, RV/Camper stuff to home repair and renovation to everything in between. I don't like to spend a lot of money so I usually try to find ways to repurpose / recycle things that would of usually be thrown away.
I will also take on projects that I think are pretty much just something to do because I can :)
And remeber you're not cheap, you're thrifty!

    what a wonderful channel! This is the only one that breaks it down into steps and shows what it looks like. I borrowed my grandsons flaring tool and made my first double flare justs for the fun of it!

    When you drove the new bearings in with the socket and hammer, did you put any grease on the outside of bearings before hand to make them go in easier? Or do you put them in dry?

    Thanks for the vid, and time it took to make it bud. Hydro seeding is expensive in Aus. I too am building one, so your tips and design have supported my back of a beer coaster design, and encouraged me by seeing yours actually work. Thanks and good job 👍

    Soak them in concentrated degreaser, and or ultrasonic parts cleaner. Takes 10 min. My hobby is making lincoln wheel center caps look new again from the junk yard and resell them.

    What’s up brother I got me a 74 squarebody and the same thing happened to me but when I tried to tighten the bolts back up with the shims I had marked them like you did here 5:02 and the rear passenger bolt had moved as I tightened it , you think it’s the lock nut that needs replacement?

  • @jrsprojects786
    @jrsprojects78629 күн бұрын

    I would replace the lock nuts regardless. The bigger issue I have is those studs are about junk. So I'm gonna have to dive deeper soon

    I have a similar truck so I was looking for videos to basically do the same thing. And I just wanna throw this in the middle. I have one of the roughest days ever never related to the truck. I ran across this video and I laughed so hard. My stomach hurt. I had tears in my eyes. keep making videos. I will follow like all of them carefree living life to the fullest thanks man.

  • @jrsprojects786

    I do not. It did use the same motor, pump and agitators, The Hole was in the bottom instead of the side but everything else was the same. I used Bulk Head fitting for the pipes to go through the bottom and sides of the garbage can. The entire thing was actually build on top of an old Corn hole board. the garbage can was raised about 8 inches up on a small platform that I built and was held down by ratchet straps.

    I ended up just taking a plastic 1 inch quick release coupler. I heated it up a little and just re-shaped it in the vice. so its about 1/4 ich wide gap by 3/4 ish now. works pretty good. Not perfect but works. If that didn't work I was going to get a Plastic cap and just cut a slot with a grinder

    Depending on the Threads on the bolt and the shims you should be able to remove shims to tip the top of the wheel behind the dog bone. This will also mess with the toe if not done evenly.
