Just wanted to commment as a former mentee, and what my experience was with him. George is an extremely talented musician and i was lucky enough to meet him during lockdown as i was using my spare time to develop my production. George was always there, attentive and supported me constantly with feedback on my music. I had a handful of lessons with him, but most, if not all of his support was just through chatting and sharing music together. His support was non-profitable, and completely genuine, until things turned bad for him. I also want to point out that I was one of the first to join Bear Music, so i have a subjective standpoint from the beginning, to how it has turned out. What im saying is george is hands down one of the most talented and committed producers the scene has ever had, he's taken a turn for the worse but please know that through my experience, as well as others, he's not the monster portrayed online. He helped me, endlessly and was always there to support me in many ways. Life can just break people and i hope he can return, staying true to the craft.

If done organically and with creativity, sampling is definitely an art form especially in hip hop. Sample packs are dodgy at best and take the fun out of finding rare records. I’m a DJ however and we should be allowed to create recreational remixes however we choose. Bring on the outrage😏 A skilled DJ / producer can be more talented and innovative than an average musician. I should know, I dabble in both sides.

I do audio for film and video, as well as podcasts, and I use this all the time. Nearly all my work requires some degree of fixing audio that was either badly recorded or recorded in an uncontrolled environment. Would I say it's worth upgrading from 10 to 11? Probably not, given the absurd predatory upgrade prices they have and the fact that the changes aren't at all groundbreaking enough to justify that. There's some changes, sure, but if you already have 10, you're probably perfectly fine, and don't need to put down the hundreds of dollars to get 11.

This just happened to us. I’ve never been a big hater on the concept of streaming; it’s been around long enough, I didn’t see it as a true evil. But man - this type of power of small artists is harrowing. I mean, our record is gone, and we can’t even get a reason why. No bot streams were purchased directly. What time is basically early generation AI to begin with there are a few exceptions that use real bands like Bruno Mars and like early Dr Dre where he rather than sample the music and pay royalties would actually get a band to play the music so it didn't sound shity but most hip hop is a combination of a drum machine a computer program with shity sounding synthetic chords played on an instrument that doesn't exist as well as other stupid sound effects and some guy rapping over it. The problem is if you ever go see live rap for the most part it's terrible and the guys have no timing. If you watch the old guys like The sugarhill gang with your responsible for the name Hip Hop listen to the song rapper's delight which is a sample of the Chic song Good times those guys actually had some timing and soul and some guys still do but for the most part Hip Hop it's perfect for AI and if you can't make hip hop sound like the real thing with AI then you must really suck because it's already totally artificial
