    Do you know if this would be compatible with any of the other magpul stocks that have indentations for cheek risers, like the DT Carbine and DT PR stocks? The indentations don't go through all the way to the buffer tube like they do on the CTR, but they seem to be sufficient for mounting the magpul fixed cheek risers.

    Great Question. Like the video shows, the Slot adapters need to go inside the stock as well as the nut... So... thinking 🤔 💭 You could cut out the slot area for my kit to work... possibly. Not sure what the inside looks like. Or just drill a tiny hole for the screw to fit through with the nut on the inside... again not sure how the inside looks & if there's that little bit of space for the nut. If you have the stock you can send me some internal photos. Sincerely, Matthew Matthew's Fabrication, LLC Disabled Veteran Owned and Operated #MatthewsFabrication #CheekRest #CheekRiser

    Well, at least you know about this braid. Thanks for watching & commenting.

  • @karlkobler218
    @karlkobler2183 ай бұрын

    Dude it all depends on the true diameter of the line. Some manufacturers advertise the ABS rather than some random number that holds no meaning. Case in point...Daiwa x4 20# braid breaks at 46lbs ABS! So with a PR Bobbin knot, if you know the ABS, you can fish like FAR harder than we normally do. Real braided line tests test for tensile strength, which tells you how strong the line is for the diameter. Thats the true strength test of a line.

  • @MatthewsFabrication
    @MatthewsFabrication3 ай бұрын

    @karlkobler218 Perfect, thanks for watching. I'd rather have a line break at or just below it's rated line strength. That way I can pair it up with the correct Rod & real & break off if I needed to.

    just crappy autoleveling like on creality k1 series. change offset in slicer or in case of k1 unlock root and edit printer.cfg. all filaments stick to pei if leveling is done properly, even without spray or glue. my k1 max is already modded, e3d 0.9 steppers, custom gantry with gates / ldo pulleys. vfa pretty much gone vibration on x axis reduced from 30% to 4% in input shaper, recommended max accel now 32k. so much better than my bambu now....and even with mods few hundred bucks cheaper with bigger print area. bambu = apple, accept what they give you or leave it

  • @MatthewsFabrication
    @MatthewsFabrication6 ай бұрын

    Dang, awesome information. I'll have to look into editing the offset in the Slicer, still pretty new to Bambu Slicer. I did wipe down with alcohol & added a brim (not my favorite) & the second one worked. I've since raised the bed from 55c to 60c & that seems to do the trick, works well now. Multiple prints & I haven't even wiped it with alcohol since. Sticks Great. Your K1 sounds Amazing, I'd love to see what you've done & wish I new how to do all the printer.cfg mods, I just don't have the time or patience with computer stuff, lol. My website I already difficult enough to keep all the plugins running smoothly. Still don't know how to do a Theme Update & the cost to have it down is very expensive. I've found some cheats with bambu, like tell it your printing on PEI, but really printing on Engineering plate, more squished parts = layer lines invisible. I've also figured out their G-code & fixed a TPU profile to work as well as my CR10S Simplify3D profiles. I hate IPhone, lol, but I'm enjoying this Bambu so far, I may grab a K1 as well, Creality has been very good to me.

    People, you don’t need garolite, IPA before every print, nano polymer or glue to get the PEI textured plate to work with PLA, ABS or similar. This isn’t a crappy ender 3 for 100$ from someone’s yard sale. I wash my plate with hand soap once a month. Just take the plate to the sink, wet it, apply a bar of soap generously and then rinse off. As long as you don’t touch the plate with your fingers, it will work like a charm. Also let the plate cool before taking prints off. Ideally they should self release but some materials / models won’t. Polyterra PLA doesn’t even after cooling to 20C.

    Isopropyl Alcohol to wipe off the dust and stuff. Make sure the bed is warmed around 55 - 60 degrees and this will not happen. If it adheres to start then the only things that will pop it off are bending it and cooling it. Cooling it will have the plate auto release as if it never touched the part.

    This video is invaluable. Thanks for taking the time to do it. I would like to think that I would have thought to check the bolt clearance first. That would be an easy overlook. Thanks again.

    You are more than welcome, glad to be of service. It definitely matters more on long actions, for bolt clearance, but either way, you want Perfect Eye alignment & the ability to rack another round, 😁 Have a Great Weekend, starting tomorrow~!

    ❤ the 'Donate to Ferris' at the end! Good job on concise video...now I know when it's fully inserted. BTW, your camera person is amazing!
