How did you keep the ink from penetrating deep into the bowl and showing up when you turned the inside. Did you seal the exterior before applying?
Love the use of the angle iron. I will put packing tape on it before the glue up for an easier release. Definitely going to give that a try. Thanks foe posting!
Que hermosa tablita lindo acabado pero si alguien intentara hacerlo en casa nunca podria no hay ninguna medida ni nada como se podria hacer .
Nice job!!
turned out nice. A little confused about the plywood back.
Here because I needed to do the same and had no idea what I was getting myself into til I discovered the hard way. I have to use the tools available to me so this is what I figured out. I pounded a thin nail through the stopper go get a starter hole. Not sure that even matters. Then I started with a small drill bit and I pushed through the stopper with my drill in reverse. Then when I backed out I had it not in reverse. This was so the drill bit never moved through the stopper the way you would normally drill something out. I did the same moving up in drill bit sizes and finished at 3/8". I was trying to get a hole for a 1/8" IPS lamp nipple. Then I took the 2" lamp nipple, chucked it in my drill, held on to the stopper and screwed it in. Hope this helps someone.
Pretty but 3 observations: 1) use parchment paper under your piece so you don't get glue all over your work surface. 2) never wipe excess glue off. Wait for it to dry and peel it off. Wiping it while wet just smears the glue all over your piece. 3) different species of wood swells and contracts at different rates. This means using 45° cuts on your outer corners is asking for problems with wood seperation and gaps forming. Either use finger joints or at least, use the table saw, make a slit in the edge of the outer corner and glue in some biscuits. Trim the biscuit after the glue dries.
Chuck the copper tubing in a cordless drill and then rotate against the grinding wheel to sharpen the cutting edge . Apply hand dish washing soap to lubricate the rubber material you are cutting . Nice Job !
Very poor basic woodworking skills cutting all of the strips into small blocks and going together not necessary simplify watch a few in green woodworking 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Needs editing...could have done that in 3 min.
Very Unique 👍 :
Measurements would be nice
Finish suggestion: 50/50 mix of 100% tung oil/orange peel oil. Food safe and lasts much longer than mineral oil or mineral oil & bees wax mixture. Read the container; it MUST be 100% tung oil.
Nice ..how can I get a couple of them .
I am confused with the measurement list and the quantity of how many blocks needed for each measurement. Can you please tell me or email me if you don’t want to say it on her or whatever reasons you have. That would be extremely helpful and awesome! Thanks
Nice bowl, lovely peice of timber. would have liked, narration through out the process though.
Great work! Stupid question but what is the template called that you used to find the centre of the log ?

Welcome to the quietest shop in the world! Thanks for the video, I knew there was a trick to this.
Now that what I call , Cutting Edge ! Brilliant must give that a try Thanks for sharing.
As you glue the pieces together are you also glueing them to the maple board on the bottom, or did you glue maple on after. Also is the maple added to strengthen the weave board to keep it from coming apart ?
Yes I did glue the maple later to add thickness .I have no problem with the board still looking good .
The copper pipe idea is brilliant: I suppose the aggressive blades of a drill bit are irrelevant now: what a clever idea as rubber does not need blades & quite jealous of your wonderful horizontal drill press, and please be careful with your hands I wouldn't put them ever near any rotating object I'm a safety nut emphasis on nut
Thank you
Bela obra de arte 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Obrigada
My husband uses these plans from Woodprix and is very happy with them. However. I love yours!
Thanks
Good morning from SE Louisiana 18 May 21.
good morning sir
I'm going to try this with my wheelbarrow tire.
@2:12 Curious as to the reason for the clear cup being used to measure the epoxy when you pour it into the HDX graduated mixing cup in order to mix it?
The reason for the clear cup is for measurement. the HDX was used and there is some old epoxy in the bottom.
I have just joined your group of followers, I feel like an amateur in the wood lathe; but I think that I would never make the mistake of working on the opposite side of the one shown in the video, that operation is too risky for me, my personal opinion, a friendly greeting and congratulations your work ends happily
Thanks
What do you mean opposite side?
It is not easy to explain it, since it is the point of view of the one who is watching the video and the person who is seen working on the video for that matter is you and what I do not know if your team I mean the lathe has two turns left and right or forward and backward, but the question is that if you see it from my point of view, your tool should always keep your closest to your body and not from the other side farthest from your body but it told you from My point of view, maybe you were using the option to turn to around, something that cannot be seen in the video in any way, the important thing is the end of your work, very good, I congratulate you from Brazil, border with Argentina, a CHILEAN speaks to you. @@nooncraft7342
@@cristiangarrido8135 I got your point .thank you Cristian .It is always go to get some feedback.

nice job, great work!!!!!
Thank you
Great job bro
Thanks
Very nice cutting board
Thanks
1st. Hi Yusuf, That is a beautiful cutting board and I'm keeping this video for when I eventually get around to making one. Take care Yusuf and a fantastic video. Cheers, Huw
thank you
With grain patterns heading in all different directions, doesn't this have a major risk of coming apart as each piece expands and contracts in opposite directions?
No if all is end grain including the boarder
It's not all end grain. Not at all lol. Which means this board WILL fail!
@@guido1534 I'm hoping he meant edge grain!
Wow! Turned out very well. I like the inlay technique of using a negative of the letters on the CNC.
Thanks
How dense and difficult is that Black Palm to turn? Frequent sharpening?
Very dense and difficult. You need to keep sharp your tools
I like them.
Thanks
Great looking bowl
Thanks
Im curious in your glueup how did you remove it from your plywood??
It is not plywood its maple wood .I just increased the thickness by adding maple board in the bottom
Very pretty! Great job 👍🏻 Mike
Thank you Mike
That is one beautiful bowl great job 👍👍👍👍
Thank you.I visited your channel and subscribed
@@nooncraft7342 thank you very much happy turnings to you my friend👍👍👍👍

Thanks
Schönes Video 👍würde mich freuen wenn ihr mir auf meinem Kanal vorbei schaut 😊
Sicher werde ich, danke
Great job but I wish you would have gave the measurements
0.25"Walnut 1"Maple 0.25"W and the Cherry 1.5"by 1.5"
Tanta elaboracion pa esa porqueria
I’ve found that turning a tennon on the top part of bowl and shaping outside and adding a dovetail recess works quite beautifully if you’d like to try it
I will try it thank you
