I'm literally coming to the end of Storm King's Thunder with my players now so this will help spice up their interaction with the Kraken.

WoTC has made some bad decisions, but working with Pointy Hat is NOT one of them. Seriously, I haven’t even considered buying the new books until now. This man is too entertaining and compelling! :p

Another idea: like, god blood (ichor) is said to heal any illness, aasimar are not that divine to have one drop of its blood to heal them completely, therefore to have a similar result you'd need way more than a drop

As one that always reminds everyone the fact that they see shades of gray while in the dark, either as an important narrative tool and to make people light a fucking torch because it suck if you don't see colour just light up something don't act as if it is fine to run around like that and remember that one human player that can't see shit come oooonnnnnn- As I was saying, changing this thing is a total deal breaker

So... what are the new rules in regards to Winged Tieflings? Am i still going to need a magic item for that? Also... Abyssal Heritage has mentions of Carceri? The plane of Madness? Well... I guess my next Character is set then... BUT SERIOUSLY, The Wings? Is there a mention of Rules for that? Because if i CAN make a Characters that looks like A half-Balor, i WILL make a character that looks Half-Balor.

But hear me out: both! The old gods, barely worshipped by anyone directly, ruling over time, space, nature, the tribe and change respectively, now detached, so far from real, it's all they can do to maintain order/chaos And then there's basically just kami

I like them changing from “race” to “species”. My reason is that whenever you’re trying to explain dnd to someone who hasn’t heard of it you usually lose them when you start babbling a lot about the different “races” 😅

In my opinion i dont Like the simplification. Let me explain. The legacy or ancestor had Special abilitys and this destroy a lot of character because Not every Tiefling have a fire/poisen/necrotic resistens. For example I have a Levistus Tiefling so i have a cold resistens and my first spell wasnt fire bolt it was ice Beam (sorry i Only Know the German Name)...and Like that's destroy the diversity of tieflings

i kind of disagree with the species thing, and them changing it only because of bad real life connotations says more about them than the game, absolutely childish so what? there are different races in a FANTASY setting, I will keep calling it race, i sure as hell won't let a company patronize me into saying something different. And i loved them being hated for what they are without choosing because I could relate with that and you could weave a compelling story out of that. But they chose to make it bland. lmao well whatever DnD is "make you own fun" anyway so i will take the rulebooks only as guideline and spit on their decisions.

I found Pointy Hat at the beginning of last week and now have binged all of his videos. Genuinely the most creative dnd stuff I’ve ever seen, including official material. I can’t get over how cool each twist is. I genuinely haven’t disliked a single one and so many of them have made me actually want to play races/classes/in locations that I never had any interest in before. I am a relatively new dm, but I am planning to include so many of Pointy Hat’s creations in my campaign going forward. Not only are the stat locks interesting and dynamic, but each twist provides so many story hooks that makes it practically impossible to not find a way to work them into your story. The Tips of the Hat have also really helped me and given me so many ideas on how to be a better dm. All this to say, thank you so much for all you do. I can’t imagine having to make all this, especially for free. Each video doesn’t just have amazing dnd stuff, but each is just so funny and entertaining that I would watch them anyway even if they didn’t have any dnd stuff. It would be awesome to see a kickstarter project or dnd home brew book one day from you. I hope you have a wonderful day, and thank you again!

Do people not understand that Elves get an Intelligence bonus because of their age? Because they're raised around family that have lived so long that they're legitimately starting off with much more knowledge absorbed from living much longer than everyone else? Have we descended that much?
