I met him in 1984 at a car show, we ended up talking for several hours, and every time I saw him at a show he would call me by name and invite me over. He was a really nice, creative genius. He also invented or used things in new ways that were never done before. He was the Ben Franklin of that time. When things were fun, and cruisin and cars were encourage before this time of this sick woke crap.

I got my dad's rc10 from the '90s it's a pan oval car and it's painted up like Richard Petty's car number 43 it's an associated rc10 I believe it's old but guess what I still run it in the bush class because that's meant for the older paying cars to be able to compete with the newer pan cards because you still got to run an iPad battery with a brushed motor and it dominates and wins races every single Saturday night on the carpet oval track it's a wider body than the newer bodies but it's legal only bad part is if I do hit the wall and wreck it real good I can't buy parts for it very easily but good thing my dad had tons and tons and tons of spare parts to be able to rebuild that thing about 60 times

Lesson learned. Donate your cars to museums that will stick around. Most of Ed's cars were auctioned off in the 1980s when Holiday Inn acquired Harrahs. A few ones are still on display in Reno where a handful of the original collection remains.
