I see about 3-4 original members of the future Tuba Skinny here, which started about the next year 2009. Esp Barnabus on the T-bone, the female banjo player and Shaye Cohn on piano. Not sure about the others.

That's a soprano sax she is playing, not a clarinet. Shaye Cohn who was soon to form Tuba Skinny. (granddaughter of noted jazz musician Al Cohn) And I believe that's the Tuba Player later from Tuba SkinnyTodd Burdick on guitar. Tuba Skinny in it's infancy here. "Milk Crates" instead of chairs.

Shaye Cohn is very new to the (pocket) trumpet* here, no more than a couple of years ... likewise, Barnabus Jones on trombone. They taught themselves on a "swamp" trumpet ... discarded after Katrina and found as 'decoration' on a shelf where they rented. Listen to Shaye's tone and phrasing ... and then Barnabus ... and @ 4:35 their lovely collaboration. On the right Kiowa Wells, guitar, and Alyenda Seguerra, banjo, played with Tuba Skinny. Michael Magro, clarinet, and Ben Polcer, trumpet, mentored a bunch of musicians through Loose Marbles .... * Some time after this Ben Polcer gave Shaye a cornet that had been is Dad's, a fine player himself. She played it until Autumn 2019.

Don Murray plays a great counterpoint to the lead in Goose Pimples with Beiderbecke, the leading tone-like notes he plays at the beginning first 20 sec are beautiful. They are so strange when you listen I thought it was Pee Wee Russel. Murray was no slouch !!!

Nichols, of course Rollini. Perhaps his most accurate solo for that huge, impossible instrument. At the beginning he was playing fast notes creating a Habanera like pattern rhythm for an exotic tinge, the versatile bobby Davis, Abe Lincoln as someone said! Them effectively wind up with charleston syncs. This is as marvelous as their "Tiger rag"! Thanks for posting this!

Other Discographies credited Don Murray playing baritone sax. Unless Rollini switched to that sax, which woukd be unprecedented, this is Murray. Anyhow this is not Rollini's phrasing style. Rollini did used a baritone mouthpiece and he gets a unique, unmistakable sound from that muxture, different from the pure bass sax Hawkins played in Henderson's Orchestra. Thanks!
