Welcome! I’m Matthew Carlsen and I am currently attending Bethel University and studying Mechanical Engineering. To go along with this, I have a deep passion for engineering, inventing, and physics. This Channel demonstrates a combination of epic engineering inventions, physics concepts, as well as creative and innovative ideas. Basically I built Arduino machines and projects that fall under the category of the "Internet of Things." The purpose of my channel is to showcase my inventions and knowledge in hopes to promote creativity and to inspire you to make your unique project ideas become a reality! Nice!
can i buy
How would you like to help a wild muscovy who lost his foot from fishing line, id like to be able to release him at the park
I rescued a wild muscovy duck with fishing line wrapped around leg. His foot fell off. He needs a prosthetic. Can you help?
You rock! The world needs more people like you!
What problems will there be when the two y-axis motors are not synchronized?
I know this is a old vid but thank you for the material list. I understand 3d printing and am looking to make one of these machines.
Nice work but all the tech you used are proprietary like on-shape , easy-eda & matlab . And also paid for advance features unlike most openSource project . The proprietary tools and services are money 💰 🤑 hungry beast .....it's my opinion 😅
A video game engine like Unity makes that very easy.
Pure Genius. Are the stl’s available?
Would love to see more details on the code used to write this
Awesome video! Please provide more details.
Way to go brainiac!🧠
can i get my hands of your research?
Yeah I’ll make the paper a free post on my Patreon Page for you!
Can u drop the link please
Holy crap. Well done.
That is cool, especially when you consider how long it took MIT to get a balanced robot! Good job.
Badass
love it!!! 🫶🏻
Cool😊
oh my goodness. I have a duck that needs one of these. Do you still make??
Amazing work my man. Great job...
where can I download the files for 3D printing. Thank you
Cool project! I noticed that at 3:15 the integral term is wrong. The integral should be u_i(t) = past_error + (K_i * current_error * elapsed_time)
Isn't it the SBR 16 linear rails you used not SBR12 that you put on the plans on patreon?
Nice job! How much did you spend?
It's a nice build! You'll probably have ongoing issues with PETG where stiffness is needed. PETG suffers from quite a bit of creep/cold flow, so you'll probably constantly have to keep tightening fasteners over time. Voron printer parts are printed in ABS or ASA, because those materials have very limited creep.
Hello, I love this machine and want to build it myself. Is a 256mm x 256mm printbed of my 3d Printer enough to print the STL's in your Patreon? And another question: How long are the aluminium profiles? Thanks for an answer and the great work you are doing
Hi Matthew great project , can u share 3d printer file to create the nice plate u design. Thanks
10:00 That plate is massively under-extruded, you should really calibrate e-steps and tweak your flow as it would result in cleaner and MUCH stronger prints....
Do I pay to send you an email I can send you mine
Hey i just subscribed to download the STL files for your CNC machine, however they arent included in the attachment?

I need to make my duck feet or I'm going to have to put him down and he's still full of like just struggles to get around can you help me
Shoot me an email on my about page on KZread!
Do I have to become a patroen
Hey amn, dont know if you will see this but do you know if this will work on metal such as aluminum?
nice work 😊
Thanks for the video it will help me a lot. Some 3d printed components are not compatible to the metal ones. Some are extremely tight, some are not fitting at all. Good to mention: I used the exact components that you listed. I will try to make it better.
for example: you did not use 6.35mm to 10mm Plum Flexible Coupling for the motors, as the diameter is 25mm cannot fit into a 25mm hole with the screws. the hole needs to be at least 30mm and the correct Coupling for this will be 6.35mm to 8mm as the 1000mm screw is a T8 not a T10. This is one example from many.
Hi, thanks for your information. It is nice! I just have a question: It is possible cut metal (aluminium or steel) with this CNC?
Bro I just discovered you! Your production quality is insane. Keep uploading to the channel! Great projects! Watch your focus a little more. Great editing. Certainly you can get loads of viewers! Gl bro!
I have a duck that had her foot amputated. Do you sell these prosthetics?
I need one too
I am willing to work on a prototype for you! I could 3D print you one. Go ahead and email me by clicking on the about me page on my KZread channel. It will be helpful to give me a description of the situation, some dimensions of the leg/foot, and some pictures of the ducks foot.
love your CNC, question would it be able to streck to 1400mm x 2600mm for a large one.
Great machine how much u spend on the frame looks amazing and clean
i admire the speed at which you designed it. I was wondering why no washers on the black screws that are against the plastic? and why only 15% infill? why v-wheels and not normal filled delrin wheels? i've also heard that the steppers run quieter with more voltage. not sure whether that means 24v or 48v though.
hey bro , thank you for your video , is it possible to buy the files without going through patreon ? ( sorry if my english is bad i'm french )
I recently printed and built my own CNC as well, chose to go with a 4'x8' bed because I didn't want to have to be bothered with breaking down material before putting it in the machine
Audio is terrible conpared to earlier video 😢
Did you say what material you printed in? Also... is that your bed in the background?
I'm industrial engineer but I have zero skills on build it by myself so... I will go to a comercial one and forget it but It will be better do yourself because if you have an issue, you fix it and forget to go to a technician or wasting time trying for support on customer services (I had the bad experience in my life with the laser cutter after wasting my money)
What do you think is the blocker for its moving speed? The processing power of the controller? The motors? The gears (if any)? Or the belts? What do you think is needed to make the movement even more faster than what is shown at 11:20? I know that’s a decent speed for a CNC machine, but I want my build to be a little more faster. What would I need?
Why didn't you use washers on profile to printed parts?
Very cool, super clean! Id highly recommend looking into heat stake nut inserts, they let you put metal threads into plastic parts and can be set with a soldering iron. Mouser part IUTC-032 or so. Are you offering the files for download anywhere? Keep up the good work! 👍
