Stayed here last week. We stayed in the ocean front room in building number 8. Not impressed at all. pools are literally unusable during the day because It’s massively overcrowded. There are zero poolside seats available because people leave their towels or other items on seats to mark them. You only get 2 towels at a time and get 2 fresh towels if you return the first ones. Not impressed by this as well. When you pay 1000 bucks a night, you expect some better service and not this lack of trust. Inu bar (Pool bar) employees have an attitude like they’re doing you a favor letting you stay at their resort, even though we’re paying $1,000 a night. Went to the bar to order and after the LONG wait, when it was my turn, the bartender had to “go to the back”. Came back and started taking orders from other people. Happened to me 3 times so i just gave up trying to order. Housekeeping DOES NOT CLEAN. All they do is make up your bed and call it “light cleaning). Room service SHUTS DOWN, at 10:00 PM, so if you didn’t eat by 10, you’re screwed. All restaurants close down by then. Never staying at this place again. The only good thing is the beach access. The beach (which is public) is very nice but you can access the beach even if you don’t stay at this resort. We stayed in grand Hyatt in Kauai before getting to this place in Maui, we could not wait for this stay to be over. It was extremely disappointing. We had to spend all day out of the resort to enjoy Hawaii. This was not enjoyable at all
Thanks for that. We’ve booked for next year. Looks fab 👍🏼👌🏼👏🏼
Was there a door between the two rooms- for privacy for the parents?
Very helpful thank you!
Did the tiny couch pull out at all?
Is the moon tower a good one?
what room did you stay? thanks
One of the best videos, great job of showing EVERYTHING, all the things that others don't show. Thankyou
Watching your video in 2023. Very thorough, thank you for doing this it has helped us make our decision on which hotel to stay. We will be going later in July and can’t wait!
Thank you for the vlog. Very helpful! Did you have to bring the foldable crib by yourself, or they are provided by the hotel? Thank you!
The pack n’ play cribs were provided by the hotel. We requested it prior to our arrival and they had them setup in the room already. The housekeeping is so great too, they made the kids cribs up every day with fresh blankets and organized their stuffed animals. 😁
@@radtraveldad Thank you very much for the reply! 👍
You’re baby is so cute!
Great video. What time of morning did you shoot this? I keep reading that all the pool chairs are taken by 9am.
That’s not true. Depends what season you’re there. We were just here one week ago and it was fairly empty. Summer is way too busy and the staff said it’s way too full in the summer
@@danamorozo. summer is when I’m going
@@smaganas that sucks:)
@@danamorozo. I know
What type of air-conditioning do that have?
😔 P r o m o S M
Its a good hotel?we will be there in two months In the same type of room, and I need to know if the room is clean, in good conditions etc. I like your videos!! Ty
great video! did you guys check out the kids club at all/use any babysitting services? what was their policy on young kids in the different pools and kids with swim diapers?
Oh God, there's the sea weed. I'm going to be there next month. Hope it isn't too bad
It depends , I just came from there and the seaweed wasn’t bad at all the first day . The next day I seen some , but I think they actually are pretty good at cleaning .based off my experience
Thank you so much for this great review! Have a great weekend! 😊
Are there restaurants & bars on the grounds ?
Yes, there is one restaurant at the Nanea that is open for all meal times. Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of the menu but it was somewhat reasonably priced for an upscale hotel restaurant. The restaurant also doubles as the hotel bar and you can order drinks or food from there to enjoy at the pool. There is also a market that has grab-and-go items, some food and other essentials but I’m sure that was more expensive than going to a grocery store down the street. And lastly, there is a shave ice shop on site.
My wife and I and friends are going in May and have watched your other video religiously. Really hoping there’s another one with the updated.
You better have another 20 minute walk through tour of the whole resort like last time coming!!!
I do! Unfortunately, it was a very windy day when I recorded so I’m working on a voice over of the updated full resort tour. I should have it out in the next few days. Quite a bit has changed in the past 3 years since my last tour so it will be good for you to see what’s new! 😁
Heck yes 🙌 thank you!
@@radtraveldad I check every day ! Can’t wait
Looking forward to the video tour of the resort this last time around ! When will u be uploading it ? Don’t worry about the wind!
Great video! Wondering if the wait staff brought food and drinks to you while poolside?
Yes, their staff is very attentive and you can order a full menu of food and any drinks from the bar while lying poolside. They take great care of you! Safe travels!
very good video!
Thank you for that great review! Loved that you included everything whether ya'll chose to partake or not! Looks like a great resort!
Absolutely, thanks for watching!
This made everything so clear haha! My husband and I sorta got lost on our first day at the resort😅
It's easy to do at these large resorts! Hope you enjoyed your vacation! 😊
This resort is pricey. Is there any deals that you know of? I would love to stay there but it gets over my budget.
Appologies for the late response! It is a pricey resort when booked on Expedia, Priceline, etc. I would look for a timeshare rental personally, check sites like RedWeek to see if you can get a better deal through an owner.
Don’t stay here. I stayed here and i am severely disappointed. I paid 1000 a night and i feel like i could’ve gotten more for my money at other resorts
Thank you for this great review my wife and I were wondering who did you go through to book your reservation and also are we able to book excursions through the resort? Thank you! Your friends christal and joe
Hey Christal & Joe! We actually booked our reservation through Expedia as a vacation package, I highly recommend checking prices on Expedia vacation packages because you’ll get the best deal on flights along with your hotel, sometimes the flights are even “free” depending on where you’re flying from. You can book excursions through the resort, I would reach out to their Concierge directly. When we went, we booked our excursions using the GoCity Cancun pass which gave us 3 days of activities with one big activity, it was a great deal through Costco. I don’t think Costco has them anymore (since the pandemic) but you should be able to find it on their own website. Let me know if you have any other questions! 😁
@@radtraveldad awsome thank you very much
The on site Kid's club was still not open 2 months ago?
I posted this video 2 months ago but, as I mentioned in the description, we stayed in ay 2021 and the video itself was recorded then. I'm not sure of the current status of the kids club at the Westin Nanea, I would call the resort directly to ask as many services like that are still closed at other resorts we've been to since.
So, are you not able to go to the beach and walk around at night? You mentioned they lock it up?
Yes, because it is not a private beach, for the security of those staying at the resort, the beach does close at night. I'm not sure what time this officially happens but I'm sure it's very late, probably midnight or later. I didn't go walking the beach at night so I'm not sure of any specifics beyond that.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks for watching!
hey thanks. we're heading over to the nanea in a few days on a time share deal (2 bdrm), this was a helpful video. liked.
Absolutely! The two bedrooms are almost the exact same setup, same size balcony and master bedroom but instead of a hallway off the living room to the other two bedrooms, it’s just a door to the second bedroom. It’s a beautiful resort, have a great time! :)
Great tour, adorable daughters. thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic tour! Thank you so much. Will be arriving next month
Hope you had a great trip!
Wonderful tour! I’m sold 🥰
Do they offer non-motorized sports? I saw the volleyball nets out on the beach but is there anything else that you can check out, like kayaks?
When you assume that people don’t mind when you bring your screaming kid into a nice restaurant, or into the adult side of the pool, you are being rude and oblivious. Other people don’t think your kid is the cutest thing on earth. they’re not giving you any grief… That’s because they’re being too polite to tell you you’re being impolite.
Just to clarify, our child was not screaming, she was being a little loud in a quiet Italian restaurant at the all-inclusive resort and we were keeping her as entertained as possible. I was primarily trying to note that the staff and restaurant are welcoming of children. Our child was certainly not the only one in the restaurant that evening. This specific Fiesta Americana property is a family resort, children are expected and are present in almost all areas of the resort. If you are looking to have a quieter child-free vacation, I would recommend an adults-only resort. Fiesta Americana has a beautiful adults-only resort in Cancun, Live Aqua that is incredible and might be more to your liking. Great video !! Thnx Are the spa and massages also included? If not. Are the massages expensive? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙂
Thanks for watching! The spa and massages are not included and currently, due to COVID restrictions, the spas at Fiesta Americana resorts are currently closed. For future stays though, I don't have a copy of the treatment menu but I do believe that the massages and spa treatments priced as you would expect from a 4-star resort. Most likely $100+ for an hour massage. Feel free to reach out if you want me to help you book a trip so I can help you get a deal! radtraveldad.com/book Happy traveling!
What time of the year was this video taken? The water looks like it wasn't during the seaweed season
We visited in late August in 2019. The ocean was very warm and did have some seaweed / sargassum in it that was scratchy but it wasn't so bad that it wasn't enjoyable.
I want to stay here soon , are alcoholic drinks and food FREE ,?
I highly recommend the Fiesta Americana Condesa! This property had the all-inclusive package included in the room-rate so all alcoholic drinks and food were included in the price... and it was ALL delicious! This review was so comprehensive thank you. I definitely think I’m going to go with this one next year. I like that everything is close by in terms of restaurants and that it’s easy to navigate. I also love the food options I hear they are delicious. And that beach! Thanks again

Me encanto super atención lo recomiendo
This is the only video I have watched of yours so I don't know if this is an isolated problem. I get motion sickness very easy and within a minute of watching your video I was feeling sick. When your walking, the camera is jumping up and down and I just couldn't continue to watch it.
Hey Judy, sorry to hear that. I actually have since invested in a camera stabilizer to try and improve on this issue. I know my pan of the lobby in this video specifically is a little motion-sickness provoking, even for me! I have a couple new video tours coming out soon that I've improved upon this, I really do appreciate your feedback.
I've never stayed at a place that has room service. I would want to do that.
That place looks amazing. Just kinda blown away by the building.
Thanks your tour was very good
We are traveling here with a group of young adults...is there any night life at this hotel that the younger generation will be able to enjoy?
This hotel does not have any nightclubs, however, the main bar area has some nighttime activities like karaoke that they can partake in. If they're looking for a crazy spring break style party, I would check out Coco Bongo. I've never been but it looks like a wild night!
Thank you so much for this very informative video. It gave me all of the information I needed.
What time of year were you here that there is NO ONE there?? I'm going in October on a company-sponsored trip, but would love to go back when it looks like it does in this video!!
We visited the last week of August, it was a humid time! The resort was also experiencing some construction (as I refer to in the video) which might be one reason it was so empty too. Enjoy!
Thanks for the thorough tour-you’re a great guide. We booked this evening for July 5-12. Hoping the reopening after the pandemic is as great an experience as what you enjoyed.
How was your trip during Covid ? I typically stay at one of the Marriott hotels but was considering this as an option.
We had a great time, even by pre-COVID measure. The staff treats you like family, the resort is clean and well-controlled. We never saw anyone with symptoms and always felt safe and not at risk. The buffets are open but the serving dishes are turned around to face the staff so that they can plate whatever you choose. The sushi bar was incredible, all of the restaurants were good and we never had any less than a great meal. The only COVID-related downside is that the pool pizzeria wasn’t open and due to the cap at 30% occupancy, only certain restaurants are open each night. So the Italian restaurant is open Tuesday and Friday, the steak restaurant on Monday and Wednesday, etc.. Options were always plentiful though. This is a great resort and we will go back when we return to Cancun. We’re planning to go to Puerto Vallarta in a few weeks because Mexico is the easiest option right now and we enjoyed it and felt safe there.
@@AccElan01 Thank you, glad to hear you enjoyed your stay!
Would you recommend for a family with one four year old this hotel looks amazing! We were also looking at the hard rock but heard it was too noisy 😂
Yes, I would highly recommend it for kids! All of the staff at this resort loved our daughter and theywere so friendly. The pool is pretty kid-friendly and even has a play / splash area in the pool away from the deep section where most of the adults hang out. The only issue was that some of the walkways that are most convenient aren't the most stroller friendly and might have stairs so just think out your path before you head out to the pool or beach! :) Safe travels!
