I’ve always heard it as 230mm, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it called a 290mm
I come here after snail will put this to dismantle early-mid war tanks within efficient 180m range
Proud Iraqi🇮🇶⚡️
5:50 8:55 "They sure can do what every other tank in the game can do" - Zwhatsh, wheel that can't turn

Ugh, sent to a scrap yard...
When is part 3 coming out?
A great account. Keep up the excellent work my fine fellow.
One of my favorite tanks, it just looks awesome even more than many over awesome looking tanks but, I just love the looks.
The question has to be, was this directly because of the restrictions after Versailles and the industrial stripping out and subsequent shortages.
I LOVE the metallurgy lecture here! Thanks a lot!
If they sold this now, it wouldve coincided with the closing retirement of the leopards that are in the mid-range market specifically Indonesia & Singapore which have both been recently trying to find the eventual replacement for their leopards. If they got the timing right, they couldve sold it to Thailand & Taiwan as well which for the case of Thailand - went for the Chinese VT-4 because of how long it took for Ukraine to complete their T-84 Oplots (which I could imagine would be hard to maintain as well) and as Thailand had some experience with British Equipment as well (Scorpion Light Tank); as well as Taiwan who are looking to replace their ageing M60 Tanks. The Leopard Hull is a proven hull within the Southeast Asian Theater - Im pretty sure everyone wouldve gotten Leopards by now if not for how stringent German Arms Exports Laws are. From what I can even remember, Malaysia was supposed to get Leopards if not for the Asian Financial Crisis which led them to choose the PT-91 Pendekar instead.
An excellent and informative video - well done! Just one small niggle: Were you, by any chance, using reversed negatives of those photos? I ask because of the frequency with which we heard 'left side' and saw the 'right' side, and vice versa. That apart, I thoroughly enjoyed the educational experience. Keep up the good work!
Im pretty sure WG is just a kitbasher's dream
Great research on an important subject, me thinks.
Didn't u upload the part 2 of this video ?
Carlsberg don't make tanks; but if they did.......
Yet another interesting video those people at Chertsey certainly came up with some good projects!
What about a video about the Engesa Osorio mbt Itself a very good tank plus a example of designing a new tank without a potencial customer
CyberTruck v2.0?
Great Presentation Incredible Simple Tunk Amazing History Thank You
The British had gone mad with specifications. There was very little practical reason to have this kind of proliferation of tank specifications. It was as if a tank installed with a kettle would have its own specification and formed a new category of tanks.
Is it true that such plates were planned to be put on Conqueror tanks during war time?
Very interesting, Thank you
Did people not see the Oddball talk on this deception in Kelly's Heroes?
"Atkins, where is your tank?" "I ate it sir! Sir, can I be excused?" "Atkins, before you go, do you know where all the wine in Caen went?" "Look out, sir, it's a Tiger tank"
Pfft. As if a Landrover needs tracks, they can climb trees.
The Major Gatehouse you mentioned in charge of the experimental board, could he have been the (later) General Alexander Gatehouse that would have been influential with the Centurion tank development?
Im not sure if it was true or my parents telling me tales. On their range there was a supposed mk5 tank. Not sure if it is real but if there was it would be amazing to find it again Im still on the hunt for it today. Ive also found i think the last nimrod plane near where my profile picture was taken.
Alien2 was the best
Come back Armd Archives. I've quoted you in my PhD thesis and want to big you up.
Still looking forward to that ASTRON Rex video.
When is the next part about smoothbores vs rifled guns coming out?
Fascinating, also the first reference I've heard to an origin date for the 20pdr, a video on the development of that weapon would be very interesting.
Thank you so much for this! Trying to make a model of it and the plans I found were very confusing, cleared a lot up!
The tanks look good
Just to let you know, I ended up here after a Jingles video where a guy used this Manticore to get to the top of a win. An it wasn't Aurorik.
Did the m5 yoh and the m6 yoh have the 120 mm (like in wot blitz)
I want a Hunsler ATT 77. ! need a Hunsler ATT77!
I don't mind fake/original tanks in games as long as they are clear on what's historical, what's fiction, and what's in between.
💥👍💥
Foolish MOD. This tank would be amazing by now
Ive got a photo of me and my sister sitting on the wheel of that when i was 8 years old when it was kept outside at Duxford, im now 45...
Are the Czech heavies real? Mediums?
Hard plates are more resistant to uncapped ammunition as used exclusively by the soviets, but is more susceptible to cracking by capped ammunition. Since most of the fighting was being done in the east, it makes sense to protect the tank against the more likely threat, soviet 47 to 76mm AP.😊
And sadly, World of Tanks is now ruining this design by making it a Tier 8 premium, nerfing its armor to the point that it's the Nemesis in name only.
I don't get it. If the liaison version was what the British Army really wanted, why didn't they adopt the Vixen?
