I have been creating and designing and painting for over 28 years and want to teach you ways to pull out your inner artist.
My simple yet effective approach is perfect for all skill levels. I love sharing my knowledge with others so that they too can have fun creating and painting as I do. I hope my tutorials inspire and encourage you to grow as an artist- remember no comparisons here we are all on our own journey.
Let's get creative!!

Fun fact for you Ellen and followers; In about 1893 the artist Toulouse-Lautrec was the first to use splattering. It was done with a toothbrush and it was called spitting; well he was French. He became famous after painting the poster for Moulin Rouge.
So make it look so simple. Not! Love it. Mine always look flat.
I just went on Amazon to find them. 15 pads for $68…… 😳nope.
Quelle merveilleuse liberté ! Mille fois merci pour cette peinture à transformations successives qui laisse parler les pigments et notre vision, notre perception intime ! What a wonderful freedom! A thousand times thank you for this painting with successive transformations that lets speak the pigments and our vision, our intimate perception!
What a cool technique! Thanks for sharing. It’s beautiful!
Thank you very much for this tutorial!!! I loved painting this, and your details help me so much! 💕
Absolutely lovely thank you
Hi Ellen ,could you tell me what kind of tape are you using Ps Brilliant tutorial
Going to make this cake one tomorrow 💗
Ellen, simplifying a landscape is just what I need. This tutorial makes so much sense. I will probably watch it more than once. I have a tendency to paint everything I see, I realize simplifying makes a much more focused and better picture. Thanks. Your style of instruction is perfect.
I'll give this a try because it's perfect. Kathy
Hi - I love your videos so much. My question is about your 3 x 3 Mini Monday paper that you use. This may be a silly question, but how do you tear the paper so that it has the torn edge. I am assuming that you cut a regular size paper into the 3 x 3 size. Thank so much in advance!
That's a great tutorial, thank you, Ellen!
So cool, so pretty. Must try.
Ellen, This was a great tutorial today as it was what I was planning on trying to paint. I followed the tutorial, adding some pinks to the sky and water. I was very pleased with the result. You are a very patient teacher. Thanks.
I tried! Need to try again! Lol! I is a bit more difficult than I thought but I'll get it! My main problem was the tape pulled off the paper! Thanks for another wonderful tutorial @
Don’t put too much pressure on tape!
Totally loving these hazy blurred out flowers
Thank you, Ellen!
You’re welcome ☺️
Your videos are ALWAYS inspiring 🎉
Glad you like them!
This is gorgeous and gives off such a peaceful vibe. The shadows add so much! I can almost feel the sun and smell and feel the sea breeze aahhhh
Thank you so much!
Love it
Thx ☺️
Yes, l love the sea sponge especially for Fall trees. Thanks for your demo. How about a sandy pebbles beach?
So cute!!!😮
Beautiful!🙌
Thank you! 😊
This looks so beautiful. The water and shore are my happy place...just not happy when I'm painting. I'm not getting the "simple" quality of this painting. I have to ask myself if I am not teachable. :( Ellen, I love your art and I gravitate to it. I just can't paint it.
You sound like you are in a rut. Your not being negative, are you? Yours may not be as good as Ellen's but you have to start somewhere. Please don't give up if you enjoy watercolor. Do u realize how many out there watching this are beginners like u and me? Just keep watching. Ellen has tons of videos to go thru. Keep looking thru till u find something you are comfortable with, but don't give up. ❤❤❤
You can do it!
Thanks, Ellen.I'm not giving up.
@@cindyhorton6980Thank you Cindy. I just bought a lot of new supplies, the paint is much different than what I was using. Maybe this is why I'm struggling.
That could be the reason!
Beautiful, Ellen!!
Thank you so much!
Love it
Thx ☺️
Thank you! That was so much fun and it is wonderful to paint in all GREENS!
Hi Ellen, I was wondering if your patreon offers more detailed/ realistic painting? I love the loose style, but a more realistic version is more the way I like to paint. I really appreciate your channel with all your tutorials. You have a great personality and always seem so helpful in helping others learn to paint. Thanks for all you do! 😊This is a lovely painting!
I don’t paint hyper realistic paintings.
@@ellencrimitrent Okay, thanks! 😊
Ellen I am now a patron member. I started after you illustrated the girl in a field. I can only find it on shorts. Can I get the printed tracing some way?
Are u on the middle tier ? That’s where it is.
Thank you lovely demonstration and easy to follow
You’re welcome 😊
