Historically speaking, *for myself*, I haven't given Jojo too much thought. However, I recently saw her guest on Alex Cooper's podcast too, y'all have unexpectedly [and somewhat embarrassingly so], really humanized her to me. Folks, she's 20-years-old, yet society is placing "adult" expectations on someone whose brain has not fully developed, who maintains lived experiences that are not nearly representative of our own, who has been and continues to be endlessly bullied, and is just in the beginning of their life's path. People certainly don't have to love her, but to mercilessly malign the living daylights out of Jojo??? It's bullying culture plain and simple. A lot of folks, particularly online, are clearly not prepared to reconcile that part of themselves.

Hi Shannon! I finished watching the episode yesterday, and you're probably past looking at comments on this episode by now. Anyhoo, just wanted to say I don't know why your parents thought this episode wouldn't be popular, because this one has jumped to the top of my list of favorite episodes of Exes and O's. It was heartwarming, funny, and delightful. Also, Fun fact: your mom is now 10x cooler to me because I am also a Registered Nurse! I don't work in Peds (it takes a special kind of nurse to do peds because I could never), I work in medical surgical care, but when your mom said she was a nurse I squealed with joy. It always happens when I see or meet someone who is a nurse! Okay, enough of that, LOL. This long comment is just basically to say your parents seem like really cool people, and I'm glad you have them in your life. And watching you and your mom cry made me cry too, because everything that your mom and dad said about you was so sweet. When your dad talked about seeing his Shannon come back once you came out and started living your life how you wanted, my heart melted. And I agree with your mom, you definitely have a tough exterior, but seem so sweet and soft on the inside. I know it's not easy being vulnerable to a world where everyone has an opinion that isn't always so nice, but I appreciate you. I turned 40 this year, but after MANY years of feeling attraction to women (and trying to brush it off), last year was the first time in my life that I finally accepted that I am queer, and you have no idea the impact your content has had on my life. When I accepted that I am bisexual last year, I struggled (I still am honestly) with the fact that I may face being shunned by the queer community for not being queer enough, while being shunned by the straight community for being queer. I worry that I won't be welcomed fully by the community, but I am so thankful you're so gentle and kind to bisexual members of the community. You made me feel welcome. I am proud to be a friend of Dorothy, and a supporter of Shannon Beveridge. "Love you so much!"

It's so funny how so many American celebrities nowadays are acting like they're doing something revolutionary just because they came out. No offense but why can't they be satisfied with just living their lives as an openly homosexual and just leave it at that? the older generation in Hollywood like Lady Gaga made music that supports homosexuality at a time when same-sex marriage in the USA wasn't legalized in all states. Lady Gaga made an impact and contributed to the fight for same-sex marriage. While Jojo is just making money and there's nothing wrong that but she needs to stop acting like she's some gay icon who is doing things that has never been done before.

Jojo saying she wants kids so soon legitimately scares me. She comes across far too self-centred to take care of a kid. And after the abuse to children that she was implicit in and the abusers she surrounds herself with...please no. She doesn't realise all the grooming she went through, saying "me at 12 was different" is literally a groomed child response from being told they're "so mature". I think this is why she now comes across as a kid trying to sit at the adult table. I really hope she's in very good therapy
