Well that’s a crossover i didn’t expect. Madeline is such a naturally funny person. I’m only like 2 years younger than Shannon so I grew up with her and the tumblr era and it’s so interesting when you hear people compare the perspectives and experiences today.

I’ve never seen this shy side of her before, it’s so cute

As a 23 year old who’s been watching Shannon since the age of 15, and now keeping up with Madeline’s content too, seeing the different yet similar stories from two queer people with almost 10 years difference made this episode really special. It’s very comforting knowing there’s no right or wrong time for your experiences to occur in life.

Never seen Madeline so “calm” before. It was so cute and refreshing to see. I think Shannon’s vibe is just so calm and chill. That her vibe allowed Madeline to just take a breath and relax. Loved this episode!!!

Aww, Shannon is like Linus from The Peanuts, with his blankets about her hats.💜 I really enjoyed this episode. What Madeline said about how we just assume that we are straight in the beginning of finding our sexual identity really resonated with me because I grew up in a heteronormative generation, and because of that I always assumed I was straight. However, now that I'm older and fully identify as bi, I have looked back on the past and the feelings I've had about girls, now I know it was because I liked them. What Madeline said about how straight people don't obsess over whether or not they like girls is FACTS. Because that is literally me. I have been so anxious about realizing that I like girls, and mentally checked in with myself like, "wait are you sure?" then I see the type of girl I'm attracted to out in public, or on tv, or wherever, and my heart races, I get all warm and flushed, and then I'm like, "yup. Um..Yup, I am definitely sure." LOL. It's wild how we live in a world where for the most part people assume you're straight unless you tell them otherwise. It's truly interesting that the "default setting" of human sexuality is seen as straight.

Clipping your nails "sitting backwards on the toilet"? I can't even visualize what this means? Like straddling the toilet? 🤨 I'm having trouble understanding the advantage of being on a toilet instead of a chair; are the clippings going into the toilet bowl? I have a plastic grocery bag that I have designated for nail trimming. I put my hand (or foot) inside and clip the nails inside the bag so that the bag will catch the clippings, then I empty the bag into the trash and fold up the bag and store it for next time.

I also clip my nails into the toilet sitting on my poop stool hahahahaha. is that not normal?!
