I don’t like two finger barre chords, they feel so wrong.

I play the acoustic one, and we are taught to always but the thumb behind the neck. Why on the electric is the opposite? something with the string height maybe?

The best part about this guy is that he's got a Harley Benton tele model. Love it, a no bullsh#t shredder who doesn't care if his guitar was only $250- he can play. I love my HB TE-52. Now that it has femder tuners, fender saddles and I sanded off all of that awful high gloss shallack. Even gave it body contours. Plays great now, stays in tune and feels so much lighter. And the bridge allows you to top load the strings, which I do as Ive always liked the tele body but never was a country twanger with the classic string thru body set up.

Great comparison and funny that you choose these 2 guitars to compare, fine instruments offcourse. But...... I have to go for the Ibanez and thats is purely because I own a lot of last couple of years prestige series, especially the 5000 series ones. My 5000 series guitars are all phenomenol, they can easily compete with Jackson USA series, besides the specs but most and foremost QC wise, all my Ibanez prestiges came in perfect out of the box, couple small tweaks but those were personal preferences. The one you reviewed, the 5130m is on my GAS list for couple of weeks now. I also understand that Ibanez spec wise is not for everyone (neck shape, bridge system, Active pups, heritage). But still now if you want a great guitar with all the great specs and great QC and still a reasonable price ( Jackson USA, Japan ESP, PRS USA, Caparison, are all lots more expensive). Long story short the Ibanez prestige these days, is production guitar wise, best bang for the buck
