Vale vale vale! Looks hot, good work from you both! Greetings from Scandinavia
Tak, (does it thank you in Scandinavia?)
Hello, yes here in Norway we say "tusen takk" (a thousand thank yous)@@caminotellershave a Nice evening!
Buen camino❤
👣👣😘
Hi from sunny Scotland
Just for change!!!
Keep just missing the live stream. In Burgos at the moment too.
We will be there for the next 2 days!
So will I! Resting up for the Meseta. I'll say hi if I see you.🙂
I thought I asked this question but I guess I didn’t. For September do you still recommend the Sea to Summits sleeping liner if not which one. Thank you 🙏🏻 Buen camino 👣👣
Odalys! To be honest, sleeping liner is good for summer, not even for spring, as during last cold days I sleep in the jacket(inside sleeping liner). So for September we would recommend a sleeping bag, that can be a synthetic (less expensive) and good for 0-10 degrees… there are also some ultralight options but if you only want to use it once, synthetic sea to summit should be enough. Let me see if I can pass you a link to an exact one… (in next week)! Hugs
I imagined you were with a group you assembled, and would be walking as a group.
No, the group you saw on the pic was the pilgrims meal in one of the albergues! Next day we all walk in different pace and stop in different places, we see each other on the Way and coffees together!
I had a Salomon Radiant for 5 years which serves my wide toes very well, light and good ankle support. Unfortunately the base at the front is peeling off. I am desperately looking for another to replace this for my Camino this Sep. Any recommendation?
Brooks have some good reviews… and will be our next pair of shoes 👞 I don’t know if you can get them in your place?!
I sometimes wonder, if all the fuss about bedbugs is, little more than a scaremongering ploy. Either trying to drive pilgrims away from Camino or from certain establishments.
Loving your sharing and daily snippets on your journey. Buon Camino from Australia 🦘❤
This is one of the most magical places in the world, thanks for bringing us along. The white flower retreat very unique too. Did you get a chance to meet Ananda and Gayatri who run it? abrazos
Hi I'm from Las Cruces NM, I want to say that I really love your videos. I'm planning on doing the Camino Frances in May of 2026.
i think that i stayed in 37 albergues on the Camino Frances in March and April this year. stopped in an Airbnb in Santiago on arrival and then gotbitten to death. Then carried on to Fisterra and another three albergues - no problem . in my experience the Albergues have all been bedbug free...
Jejeje el propio Don Quijote de la Mancha haciendo el Camino!!!
Bed bugs are in every hotel in the US, I don't know why people get freaked out on the Camino. Bed bugs are in trains and your airplane getting to Camino. You need to do a good job checking before you go to bed, a good thorough check. All the gimmicks about certain covers, blankets, are all just a waste of money. As was said in the video - take care not to bring them with you!
Black cat crossing your path is good luck in the UK, good for the Camino too. Enjoying the trip, thank you.
Hahaha I think we crossed his path!
I didn't have any bedbugs, but one time I found a big spider under my pillow
If it would be in Australia, you’d probably be writing to us from “the other side”🕷️🕷️🕸️🕸️🥵
Hello hello hello 👏🫶❤️❤️ from Canada
Hello to you!
The bell works,... I bet you haven't seen a bear on the camino yet.😉
Talking about bear, Ricky doesn’t shave for some time… 🤣🤣
No bed bugs in 6 Caminos, but I do look at every bed any place I sleep. For donativo - last year at Zabaldika, with wonderful dinner, single bed, and breakfast, we left 30€ each. In 2018, at St. Nicolas, I left 20€, but gave them another 20€ when I stopped by last year as they had been so kind when I broke my wrist. My favorite part of the day is sunrise, with all the birds singing and the crickets chirping and glorious colors or mist rising. It is all so fresh and beautiful. It always makes me grateful to be walking a Camino.
We might stay in San Nicolas this year… 🥰
@@caminotellers It is one of the best places to stay. Falling asleep to candlelight, delicious communal meal, and simply a special atmosphere.
Nene from California😊. Is it cold or not? I see Erika with no jacket and Ricky with jacket.. I am wating for my husband to retire - which will be about 5 years. Then we will be doing the caminos. I am disabled so i cannot go by myself. In the meantime I do the caminos vicariously through you guys. ❤❤
Camino cats! 🐈😄
We like cats but the dogs we adore!
Very informative video all answers are correct. Training is the key.I did my first Camino 2010 as a 68 year old,and my second in 2018 76years old. Training is the answer....Buen Camino!!!!!!!KEEP ON WALKING SENIORS !!!!!!
Thanks to you for the inspiration! Buen Cami o
Thanks!
😘
Erica, how much does you backpack weigh? I have the same model and hoping for around 10 pounds. Buen Camino
It’s around 10…
We just experienced bed bugs last night…first time, in a private room.
Incredible and… unexpected! Did it put you off from walking Camino?
I am preparing to do my first Camino in 2025. I am thinking end of April and into May. Reason is you can adapt to the cold and wet, but the blazing hot not so much. LOL My biggest question is do you simply look for Albergue's when you arrive each day? Do you prebook some? I know some are first come first serve or donation based so you cannot reserve. Just wondering as after walking so far have you ever NOT found a place to sleep?
On my Camino the weather in Galicia in mid May was high 0f 7 degrees Celsius about 40 degrees farenheit and rain
As simple as that, you just getting to a place and ask for the bed! Sometimes you can call to see if there is availability in the next village before you walk! There are some periods that might be more busy then usual- this year was exactly the last days of April and first days of may…
Ciao ragazzi
Ciao Nicolino mio 😘😘😘
Belllo!
I’ve never encountered bed bugs there
Thanks for this reaffirmation
Buen camino.

This is a nice video. As we plan for our Camino Frances (we think that's the one we'll pick) we have so much to do, it is overwhelming. It seems every 5 or 6 years we turn our lives upside down too - just to keep feeling alive, to have new experiences and because we enjoy the adventure of it all. We've done this 3 times and are about to do it again for the 4th time. We rebuilt an Amish owned homestead, built a tiny house on wheels and now just had a regular house built and in only 5 months of being in it, plan to sell it already and go on the road. We are both 57 and time now is on the shorter side of the pendulum, experiences and being together is more important than mowing a lawn and fixing a gutter to a house. But NO ONE in our family will offer supportive words for this. So I watch you two for the encouragement we need.
I want to do it but bed bugs and human waste rubbish enroute i hear is off putting
Have a look at todays live stream (day 14) where we talk about it and many pilgrims comment in comments
Missed the live stream by a few minutes. Luv your work. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😀
I really like that you're not necessarily doing 'regular' stages. Staying at 'in between' stops is very interesting and will help people learn they don't always have to stick to the guidebook suggestions - Quique
Very true!
Can you tell me if there are any bugs? Misquotes, etc?
We answered it today in the live stream, have a look!
The tree at the entrance to the village is a horse chestnut. The yellow kernel of which is a saponin (soap). Not that I’m suggesting that pilgrims are in need of a wash. The whole chestnut gives off an aroma that wards off spiders and moths. There’s also more than one horse chestnut tree in Granon.
Wow! What an insider’s info! 😍
Hi Jo from Derbyshire England here Thank you for sharing your journey Buen Camino ❤🤩🥰
You are so welcome
Beautiful 1:37 ... the tree arch greeting you as you enter ❤ ... bellissimo
🥰🥰
¡Gracias!
Thanks 🤩
Muchas gracias por compartir 😊… son muy inspiradores ❤️
Gracias Alexiss
Hi guys, Nene from California. Do you think you can show more of the food you eat….? Thanks - Love your videos ❤❤❤❤
O yeah, no problem at all! BTW, in the description you will find a WhatsApp group for Camino foodies, where people from all different caminos share their food pictures and recommendations, check the link below
Miss you guys!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Filberttttttttttt!
Where is this place?
This is Tee from NYC
Granon
Awesome video, what a showcase of the Beautiful Sweden. How heavy is Ana’s pack. Very different from the Camino being self sufficient. Thank you for sharing the journey. Safe travels!
Thanks for watching!
I'm planning on at least one rest day every 7 days. And maybe when I get somewhere that I want to check out.
Couldn't catch up live this time. So got my Camino Tellers fix and checked out your Instagram. Great photos 😊
A perfect rest spot! I will need to add that to my ❤ list. Gracias for sharing Erica & Ricky. 🥰 ENJOY!!!
🥰
I like to have one day a week rest day. It also gives me time to stop and think of my journey so far, so it doesn’t all turn into a blurr.
I love optional extras .
Astorga or Ponferrada nice cities to have a break.
Hi you guys, Darryl and Janet here, we met you in Castrojeriz last June and had a lovely evening chatting along with the two Nick’s outside the pizza restaurant. Loving following your vlogs and am particularly interested now in San Millán. What is the accommodation situation there, is there an Albergue or only hotels?
There are few options of stay, from the monastery which is an high end to other options, more pilgrims friendly - all in booking.com
We remember you guys!!! How is life, tell us more about how you’ ve been!
