This is my first time seeing your channel. I really appreciate this video, as your explanations flow very well. I can see sharing this with some others in my school. In fact, this particular video came up in a search as I was looking for things to consider as I assist with our yoko-sutemi-waza segment our school has been practicing, so thank you for helping me with some ideas and concepts I may wish to deliver! Happy to be a new subscriber :)

I don´t like to criticize my country´s judo but I have seen so many debates with uki goshi that is video has taught me a lot, looks simple and is similar to the way my oldest sensei taught me but some people love to say the real uki goshi is the huge elevation version you can see sometimes in competition or in some sambo matches. Hey, it’s been awhile. Wonderful to see a new video from the Riki Dojo. I actually prefer sumi- garaging to tomoenage. I can’t really say why, except that I find sumi-gasehi much easier to enter into and execute successfully. Also I have found it serves as an effective follow-up waza to an unsuccessful attempt at osotogari. Many, many thanks!🥋🙂🌞
