I don't know why the writers thought about a proposal. The ending should have been Rory and Logan looking to build their future together as a couple without committing to marriage since they were still young. I think the problem here was that Rory freaked out and associated marriage with losing her freedom and the possibility of having a career, which is ironic considering how everything ended up in "A Year in the Life." However, this video breaks my heart everytime.

Having rewatched GG a million times, including AYITL, the one thing I miss above all else is Lorelai’s acceptance of Jess and the acknowledgement of his character development. She was so hard towards him and he turned out to have the best development, but mostly the better man for Rory. Especially in AYITL they should have her recognise that.

Whenever im stressed put about my finals that will decide what college im going Ive been coming here the past two months the whole preparing period has been so long and tomorrow is math and it’s been my struggle i hope i do well like the way this video captures that even after uncertainty and struggle youll end up being something

See my mom raised me so much like Lorelei and I love their relationship as mother and daughter. It reminds me of the relationship I had with my mom but much like Rory I went off and made my own mistakes despite my mom wanting me to be better. It made me identify with Rory so much. No one is perfect and sometimes you make many big mistakes and not having that perfect set up of watching your mom being in love with your father growing up together can really skew what love should look like for yourself. It’s such a good show…
