"They would've said so the first time around" Where is this idea coming from? If they weren't 100% positive they'd do more DLC, why would they anounce it at the start? They only announced what they knew they had to do, and the rest was "IF we're able to" which is why they never said the game was ending after 2 years of support either. They just said there would AT LEAST be 2 years of support. They weren't sure how much they'd fit into this game. Which, of course they didn't. It was a rushed half-baked sequel with a bad development from a new junior team, followed up by a DLC that once again had a bad development done by the new junior team. They left the door open for if it went well, but it didn't, so it's ending.

Squid Sisters didn't get alternative ON SCREEN outfits in Splatoon 1 because they didn't show up physically in the storymode of 1. And Deep Cut didn't get alternative outfits in Splatoon 3 because they didn't get their own story mode. Splatoon 3 base story is not a Deep Cut story, it's another Squid Sisters story, as all the base games are since they're the Squidbeak stories.

@SoulessSinferno The game does look to be ending, bht there is always a chance more updates and potential DLC can happen. MRio Kart 8 Deluxe received additional DLC long after it released so a similar thing can happen.

I think the reason deep cut didn’t get any new outfits is because in story mode they have no unique outfits or anything like that. They don’t really have anything to market more deep cut amiibo with.

They wouldn't have annoucned it with the other two. Their clear use of the words "AT LEAST two years of support" and how they always left it open on if there would be anything else past the two years, and the graphics for the DLC clearly showing four originally planned waves shows that they planned on four, but we only got two because they were seeing basically how development of Side Order went, how the Switch 2 was looking, and whether it would be beneficial. But it's clear that with Switch 2 coming up close and Side Order's bad development, they're ending it now. The Grand Festival, them saying they've added the last new map, them giving us the final Salmon Run gear, all makes it obvious that they're cutitng it short and sticking with just this unfinished game.

I have wanted variant amiibos for the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook ever since we got their new designs revealed back in 2022. I remember seeing a fan made version by Pufuu and to see them finally become a reality is a dream come true. Which one you plan on getting?

While we are on the topic, Pufuu had the right idea when making the Squid Sister Alterna amiibo mock ups and I'm happy his concept eventually came true

Deep Cut got nothing in their own game: not their own story mode, not their own DLC, not their own big music songs, not their own concert, and not even their own Final Splatfest either. We really needed a DLC with them as the main idols where you play as Agent 4 (seeing as they are the only Agent not in this game now after being cut from the base game and DLC, and they were the only agent who chose team Chaos)

It's not called the Final Fest just because they plan on doing re-run Splatfests like they did in Splatoon 2 (in Splatoon 2, it was called a Final Fest because they weren't planning on the re-runs). It'd be great, and they probably were planning more content originally, but this is surely the end

To be hair, although Grand Festival is the perfect and appropriate idea for a FinalFest 3, nut I still can’t help thinking, it’s still a little too early for a FinalFest, especially since then it just leaves the game feeling empty and dry, with nothing much to do until the next game releases. I like that they call it “Grand Festival”, rather than “FinalFest”, implying that there’s more to come. I mean, the splatfest reruns were a cool idea, Yeah, sure, it was supposed to be because of lockdown, but they really didn’t have to do that at all, but they did, and it was very well liked, so at this point, why NOT do it again. Especially since we now have Off the Hook. The solatfrsts I can likely see reposting first, would be the instruments Splatfest, and/or the Weekend Splatfest, each with some new dialogue, possibly with some more Deep Cut lore. As I feel, it would sense for the splatfests with more miscellaneous subjects, that were likely consisted “kind of dull” by some. Like I mentioned before, here one of the members mention why they like that particular day. For example, Shiver could mention how she likes to go shopping, after Salmon Run shifts. Or how Frye just likes to stuff herself with sweets and hang out with her siblings on Saturdays, or have Big Man, the chill guy express how much he loves lazy Sundays. Same goes for the Instrument Splatfest.

@@DecadoPrime Yeah, everything’s great I don’t know, it just doesn’t feel right to have, what seems like a FinalFest now, Seriously, with the whole 3 theme going on, why not give us 3 years of splatfests/updates like how we got 2 years of both in Splatoon 2 and one year of updates in Splatoon 1, I know it may have been unintentional, and Splatoon 1’s reason was a different situation, but there was clearly a noticeable pattern going on. As for the Speciel splatfests, they could change the teams up, to keep it interesting and exciting. For example: Splatoween 2023 was Zombies vs. Skeletons vs. Ghosts, which was already looks of a return in and of itself, rehashing the Zombies vs. Ghosts splatfest from Splatoon 1, with Skeletons as the third team. Splatoween 2024 could be Werewolves vs. Vampires vs. Frankenstein (Hmm, actually, now that I think about it, although I liked Zombies vs. Skeletons vs. Ghosts, I think something like Werewolves vs. Vampires vs. Ghosts would’ve probably worked better. Meanwhile, For FrostyFest 2024, they could do a rerun of Friends vs. Family vs. Solo, but with different dialogue, or maybe do something similar to SpringFest and have it themed around cuddly winter themed animals. Arctic Foxes (Ice Blue) vs. Polar Bears (Gold) vs. Penguins (White), Hot drinks. Tea (Dark Green) vs. Coffee (Gold) vs. Hot Chocolate (Dark red) or warm, fuzzy clothes. Sweater vs, Socks vs. Earmuffs.

I personally think we will get more updates. DLC is really dependent on how long the development cycle may end up being combined with having to introduce new features to get people interested in purchasing it. With regular updates, it can keep the game going and be less restrictive with what gets implemented. But you do bring up good points.

@@yinyangyt8749 I feel the exact way. Grand Festival really does feel like a proper end to this era of the franchise and the team selection opens up tons of possibilities for future entries. Although, 2025 will likely be a massive year for Splatoon given it will be hitting its 10 year anniversary and not celebrating it with additional content would be a huge missed opportunity.

Splatoon 3's development was rough, Side Order's development was rough, and the Switch 2 is right around the corner. All of which probably is what made them go "Yeah, 2 years is enough" sadly despite the fact that Deep Cut never even got to do anything in their own game (they don't even get their own Final Fest)

I'm glad it's not the idol groups vs each other as the theme because that would've been a horrible idea. That said, them making the teams represented by the idol groups instead of Deep Cut members means that people are only looking at it as the idols vs each other, giving Present the easy win of just having Off the Hook bias taking over the amount of people who are choosing because of the actual team. And just means that Deep Cut will once again have another major milestone of their game taken from them and given to the other old idol groups instead, like has happened throughout the entirety of Splatoon 3. That's really my major gripe with this, but past that? The final fest looks great. So much so that in the game's two years of support, this looks like the only thing in the entire game that had effort put into it. Not the base game, not the storymode, not the DLC, not in any of the patches, nothing. This looks like the most (and possibly only) passionate thing that's gone into 3 throughout it's entire lifespan.

Team Present here! This will be a great final splatfest and I'm super hype for it! I actually really hated Splatoon 1 and was really against the game without even playing it (I hated the Wii U to begin with) I cave and joined Splatoon 2 halfway through its lifespan and with that one I really did like the game, I got to meet actual new friends with it and online friends. I became part of a community at some point and got to have something new in my life to enjoy. Becoming a diehard fan of the series to this day. This video explains the theme and representation of splatfest great and perfectly! I'm on Team Present since I'm terrible at looking to my further and my past was so great, so I've learn to love here and now in present times. Speaking of present, Currently even now I got lovely friend of mine into the game,this will be her 5th and Splatfest event but she shows and has exact the same love and excitement for the series that I first felt for the game when I played. We are looking forward and excited for the future of the series and games together.

I can't believe the game's almost coming to an end I couldn't enjoy it properly :/ Long story short, I was supposed to receive it in December 2022, however, a lot of stuff happened and I had to buy it literally one year later, and 2023 wasn't a good year for me, I spent 95% of it with depression, (and having to pay for the Switch Online doesn't really help)

First off love the inclusion of Daybreaker Anthem for the video. Really fits with the final Splatfest and feels like we've come full circle. Second, this really does feel like the perfect finale to everything and it makes me so happy to see how massive this series and the community have grown. Third, what team will you be picking for Grand Festival?

"They would've said so the first time around" Where is this idea coming from? If they weren't 100% positive they'd do more DLC, why would they anounce it at the start? They only announced what they knew they had to do, and the rest was "IF we're able to" which is why they never said the game was ending after 2 years of support either. They just said there would AT LEAST be 2 years of support. They weren't sure how much they'd fit into this game. Which, of course they didn't. It was a rushed half-baked sequel with a bad development from a new junior team, followed up by a DLC that once again had a bad development done by the new junior team. They left the door open for if it went well, but it didn't, so it's ending.

Squid sisters only got alternate outfits in the next game they featured in (Splatoon 2). Idol groups dont get alternate outfits in their first game (outside of special fests)

Squid Sisters didn't get alternative ON SCREEN outfits in Splatoon 1 because they didn't show up physically in the storymode of 1. And Deep Cut didn't get alternative outfits in Splatoon 3 because they didn't get their own story mode. Splatoon 3 base story is not a Deep Cut story, it's another Squid Sisters story, as all the base games are since they're the Squidbeak stories.

@SoulessSinferno The game does look to be ending, bht there is always a chance more updates and potential DLC can happen. MRio Kart 8 Deluxe received additional DLC long after it released so a similar thing can happen.
I think the reason deep cut didn’t get any new outfits is because in story mode they have no unique outfits or anything like that. They don’t really have anything to market more deep cut amiibo with.

They wouldn't have annoucned it with the other two. Their clear use of the words "AT LEAST two years of support" and how they always left it open on if there would be anything else past the two years, and the graphics for the DLC clearly showing four originally planned waves shows that they planned on four, but we only got two because they were seeing basically how development of Side Order went, how the Switch 2 was looking, and whether it would be beneficial. But it's clear that with Switch 2 coming up close and Side Order's bad development, they're ending it now. The Grand Festival, them saying they've added the last new map, them giving us the final Salmon Run gear, all makes it obvious that they're cutitng it short and sticking with just this unfinished game.

I have wanted variant amiibos for the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook ever since we got their new designs revealed back in 2022. I remember seeing a fan made version by Pufuu and to see them finally become a reality is a dream come true. Which one you plan on getting?

While we are on the topic, Pufuu had the right idea when making the Squid Sister Alterna amiibo mock ups and I'm happy his concept eventually came true

Deep Cut got nothing in their own game: not their own story mode, not their own DLC, not their own big music songs, not their own concert, and not even their own Final Splatfest either. We really needed a DLC with them as the main idols where you play as Agent 4 (seeing as they are the only Agent not in this game now after being cut from the base game and DLC, and they were the only agent who chose team Chaos)

Also, i think what nintendo should do is add a little bit of new content, like one or two new kit every mounht (im pretty sure nintendo doesn't need to put a lot of effort in them), so they could take there time for splatoon 4 and not rush it. It's not called the Final Fest just because they plan on doing re-run Splatfests like they did in Splatoon 2 (in Splatoon 2, it was called a Final Fest because they weren't planning on the re-runs). It'd be great, and they probably were planning more content originally, but this is surely the end

To be hair, although Grand Festival is the perfect and appropriate idea for a FinalFest 3, nut I still can’t help thinking, it’s still a little too early for a FinalFest, especially since then it just leaves the game feeling empty and dry, with nothing much to do until the next game releases. I like that they call it “Grand Festival”, rather than “FinalFest”, implying that there’s more to come. I mean, the splatfest reruns were a cool idea, Yeah, sure, it was supposed to be because of lockdown, but they really didn’t have to do that at all, but they did, and it was very well liked, so at this point, why NOT do it again. Especially since we now have Off the Hook. The solatfrsts I can likely see reposting first, would be the instruments Splatfest, and/or the Weekend Splatfest, each with some new dialogue, possibly with some more Deep Cut lore. As I feel, it would sense for the splatfests with more miscellaneous subjects, that were likely consisted “kind of dull” by some. Like I mentioned before, here one of the members mention why they like that particular day. For example, Shiver could mention how she likes to go shopping, after Salmon Run shifts. Or how Frye just likes to stuff herself with sweets and hang out with her siblings on Saturdays, or have Big Man, the chill guy express how much he loves lazy Sundays. Same goes for the Instrument Splatfest.

@@DecadoPrime Yeah, everything’s great I don’t know, it just doesn’t feel right to have, what seems like a FinalFest now, Seriously, with the whole 3 theme going on, why not give us 3 years of splatfests/updates like how we got 2 years of both in Splatoon 2 and one year of updates in Splatoon 1, I know it may have been unintentional, and Splatoon 1’s reason was a different situation, but there was clearly a noticeable pattern going on. As for the Speciel splatfests, they could change the teams up, to keep it interesting and exciting. For example: Splatoween 2023 was Zombies vs. Skeletons vs. Ghosts, which was already looks of a return in and of itself, rehashing the Zombies vs. Ghosts splatfest from Splatoon 1, with Skeletons as the third team. Splatoween 2024 could be Werewolves vs. Vampires vs. Frankenstein (Hmm, actually, now that I think about it, although I liked Zombies vs. Skeletons vs. Ghosts, I think something like Werewolves vs. Vampires vs. Ghosts would’ve probably worked better. Meanwhile, For FrostyFest 2024, they could do a rerun of Friends vs. Family vs. Solo, but with different dialogue, or maybe do something similar to SpringFest and have it themed around cuddly winter themed animals. Arctic Foxes (Ice Blue) vs. Polar Bears (Gold) vs. Penguins (White), Hot drinks. Tea (Dark Green) vs. Coffee (Gold) vs. Hot Chocolate (Dark red) or warm, fuzzy clothes. Sweater vs, Socks vs. Earmuffs.

I personally think we will get more updates. DLC is really dependent on how long the development cycle may end up being combined with having to introduce new features to get people interested in purchasing it. With regular updates, it can keep the game going and be less restrictive with what gets implemented. But you do bring up good points.

I hope we get the Splatoon 3 octoling gear, but I wouldn't say they're necessarily holding it back. Splatoon 3 has kind of just had a lack of vision or quality control. I could easily see them looking at the Splatoon 1 armor they added to Grizzco and went "Yeah, this is the same thing"

I'm happy with Splatoon 3. I might be a Sony and Nintendo fan, but I don't want Nintendo rush things because I know Sony and Microsoft rush things too much, and that's bad for business? I'm glad it's not the idol groups vs each other as the theme because that would've been a horrible idea. That said, them making the teams represented by the idol groups instead of Deep Cut members means that people are only looking at it as the idols vs each other, giving Present the easy win of just having Off the Hook bias taking over the amount of people who are choosing because of the actual team. And just means that Deep Cut will once again have another major milestone of their game taken from them and given to the other old idol groups instead, like has happened throughout the entirety of Splatoon 3. That's really my major gripe with this, but past that? The final fest looks great. So much so that in the game's two years of support, this looks like the only thing in the entire game that had effort put into it. Not the base game, not the storymode, not the DLC, not in any of the patches, nothing. This looks like the most (and possibly only) passionate thing that's gone into 3 throughout it's entire lifespan.
