I would imagine Mockingbird may be a pretty good option when you're behind, too since it can copy your opponents thing. In the mirror that could be all the difference.

Eddymurk Crab isn’t getting enough credit. I definitely can view it as an upgrade in certain decks. Shadow needs beefy, low costed threats, and the interaction is so much more relevant in a deck basically revolved around 1 for 1s. Shadow isn’t popular. I’m part of a small cult of enthusiasts. But being able to give your shadow a form of evasion, at instant speed, plays into the archetype extremely well. I think more so than murktide.

No vinelasher isn't kinda like that. You have to have a land... you don't want a lot of those in modern, usually. Card is bad and it isnt a 1 drop, you are placing it as a 3 drop and it is terrible. Stop it with the magical christmas land BS, your whole video is full of it. You should have just called it a commander review instead of the nonsense clickbait.
@thomgizziz9 сағат бұрын
Do you know what modern is??? It isn't commander because you are talking about it like it is commander.

45:47 i do want to note that it's not entirely true that you need a ton of extra cards to pull off the phimage loop, you can have phimage enter as a copy of jackdaw and then either sac it or target it and the original jackdaw will trigger and allow you to return the phimage again

10:30 Copy Ajani and flip doesn't work because the Ajani flip exiles, right? So it would just reenter as a Mockingbird and need to copy a creature again.

Compare 3 tree city to nykthos. Elves never played nykthos and that's definitely better in the deck since not every creature is an elf (wirewood) & some give 2 green devotion. If elves wouldn't play nykthos, they wouldn't play this either

Looking at Three Tree City, the first thing that comes to mind is Humans or Goblins. Both are decks that slam a lot to the board while also having good outlets to dump all the mana in to during the late game. While obviously they aren't meta right now, it's something to keep in mind should they be.

@@thomgizziz "Little to nothing to do with reality or modern" ? 🤔 If we are going to be literal, the entire video was about a selection of cards from Bloomburrow and how they could fit into the modern format... But if you are talking more about relevance, I thought Spike made many good points about the cards he selected & I think his commentary was tempered in regards to how much he thinks these cards will affect modern, and how playable they are. Snapcaster/Flame of Anor is a thing, and a playable 1U wizard otter could slot into a deck with that strategy. He showcased several new, interesting prowess cards while at the same time noting they might not be better than current lists. 🤷 Not sure what you were looking for out of this video. Bloomburrow is a standard set so we shouldn't expect it to, nor should it, have an enormous impact on modern. Exploring & looking for potential candidates for new playables is what I think this video is about. Also, if you were looking for commentary on current top tier decks I don't think that is the point here either.
