Thanks for this well explained process for making Italian meringue buttercream. Can I use meringue powder instead of egg white? If yes, is one tablespoon of meringue powder equivalent to one egg white?🤔

Could this recipe be used for a pan sheet cake? I don’t plan to roll it, but I want to make the cake in a way so that it can be easily cut and put neatly into little cups.

Thank you! I wished i had seen ypur video first. I wouldn't have so much issue frosting. I kept moving my bench scraper along with the turn table. Got pretty frustrated. Youre the 1st i heard that said to hold to scraper steady while only turning the turntable. I finally got it. And i almost quit baking when i just started.😂 so thank you

That looks really good, but instead of baking it after the glaze, I use my hair dryer. It works great.

This cake looks amazing! Just wondering if this can be adjusted for a larger rectangular tin (9"x13")? I've attempted similar cakes in the past but they have ended up sinking. I'm not sure if it's my technique or the pan being too large

It's funny, as many times as I made Opera cakes, I never thought they were quite worth all the effort. although your's is superbly executed...now you know why RTU's are so widely used in the industry. Skilled labor, as rare as wisdom in the modern era. You are a true asset to KZread Aya.

If you use cake strips, available from Wilton or Amazon, the layers will not have a dome. Your cream cheese recipe works because you add the sugar to the butter before adding the cream cheese. Most recipes combine the butter and cream cheese before adding sugar, but it is sometimes a bit runny that way.

This looks good, but here in Florida, it would not be considered the traditional way to make Key Lime Pie. Key Limes are preferred.

I cook, only because I HAVE to. Some of the cooking videos that I watch, are SLOOOOW..., long winded, and tedious. Not this one !!!! It inspired me, to immediately go to the kitchen, to try it out. O joy..... beautiful !!! Thank you for the tips and tricks, that I've never seen before. Everything was explained and demonstrated so clearly and quickly, without fuss.❤😊

Thank you for a great recipe and instructions. I’ve now baked this twice. I have one question: do you have any idea what the average egg size you use for this recipe (without the shell)? Also, do you know how long it typically takes for you to whip the eggs to the ribbon stage on 8/10 on your kitchen aid machine? Mine whips within 2 minutes, but that seems way to fast

Thank you for this very nice tutorial on making crepes. I think a lot of people make the batter too thick, but this reminds me of when I was a kid and a French friend of ours came over and made crepes. I remembered that the batter is really thin to do them right.

Question....is there a certain temperature when we can say that we are in the brown butter stage and we can turn off the pan already? I am trying to perfect browning butter and i want to know if i can use a thermometer so that every time i make this, it will always come out the same. Thank you for answering

Hello Aya, こんにちは❤️ huge fan here. I made your strawberry chocolate shortcake and vanilla sponge. They were absolutely delicious 🍓😋 my partner said the cake tasted like one from an expensive cake shop. Today I'm making this cheesecake, I love how concise and well designed your recepies are - wonderful! I'll be making the vanilla strawberry shortcake for my birthday. Can I make a request? A recipe for an orange flavoured sponge cake. It's a huge one I know 😂 if you ever find the time... I'll be here watching❤️
