I just had xtool d1 pro 20 W and I wasn’t happy with it. Now I’m saving up and I was thinking about doing the XT P2, which is pretty classy and allows for up to 9 feet of engraving material passed through it. Does this machine offer the same thing to threw the software, does it have rollers to let the material go through it and roll along to create a large piece or is does it just allow for the material to sit there for the workspace available to it?

Some of our machine models offer 4 4-way passthrough which allows for an unlimited extended work area. Our work areas on our LS & HP Series machines range from 14" x 20" to 55" x 98" allowing versatility in materials and size.

Hi there, would be nice to get a video of how to properly screw on the lense housing. I'm confused about the the screw that squeezes the spring. Does that have to be all the way down? Or just enough. Trying to understand how the auto focus works. Is it sending a signal to the material to see how far away the material is. Or is it sending a horizontal sense to the nozzle as it touches the material and raises up. I have a feeling the position of the spring tightening screw matters if the sensor is getting its focus readings by the way the nozzle moves up. And nozzle position is going to be different depending on where your collar is (the collar that tightens down the screw.) Hope I could make myself clear

The retaining nut that sits right above the spring will dictate how much the lens housing is sitting on the lens housing bracket. This is important because if it is set too low (retaining nut screw down onto the spring), when installing the lens housing back onto the lens housing bracket, the autofocus sensor (usually black, orange, or teal block) will also be triggered. If this happens, you won’t be able to move your worktable up because the machine thinks that it’s already touching the lens housing/nozzle. If it is set too high (retaining nut sitting above the spring; decompressed), when installing the lens housing back onto the lens housing bracket, the autofocus senor will never trigger, so in turn, when activating the autofocus feature, the worktable will continue to move up and run into the laser head assembly and can damage it. How the autofocus works is the worktable that has your material comes up towards the tip of the nozzle on the laser head assembly and compresses the lens housing, which then triggers the autofocus sensor that’s sitting behind the lens housing. Then moves the worktable down to the autofocus height that was set on your machine (previously set by our Laser Technicians in-house). This height is set by default that the focal lens that came with the machine

Just want to confirm, the HP-3655 is able to cut 18 GA Mild Steel Correct? I have seen a lot of back and forth between 16 GA, and 18 GA for this machine. Email says 16, this video shows 18.
