Harleys are slow, ill handling, poor ergonomic, maintenance thirsty, over priced, and are not fully American made, as some might imagine. They are in the process of offering small displacement models, manufactured entirely in China. Don't waiste your money. Japanese motorcycles are far superior.
great job ! i like the scenes of talking @ the fuel stops,w other riders. the best part is commradery !

To go fast you need gear, and time. Harleys can actually rip the dragon pretty well for a cruiser position. I once brought a Harley to a Miatas At the Gap rally and received a ton of standing ovations and fosts in the air as I left some miatas in the dust. I was scraping pegs is most of the corners or road rashing my pipes on those hard down and up right handers. Yeah its tiring, but it was hella fun. So mich so that I bought a Sportster Roadster and will be slinging it there this year. Last trip was with a Dyna and it was just a tad heavy.

Im pretty aggressive on the road but with all the given variables that can go wrong I really want to try it in a controlled track environment. You ride damn good, way to carve the dragon! It's always nice seeing other roudy cruiser riders! Stay safe ride safe but keep it roudy! 🤙🤙

Impressive... Running that slowly and still unable to stay in your lane. It's not a racetrack so please don't treat it like one if you don't have the skill for it. Genuinely though, I do like to see riders of all bike types taking steps to get more skills. I encourage you to get some better tires and then find an advanced riding school to learn more about cornering. It's a great way to add more enjoyment to your riding. Bike sounds good!

I was out riding my 97 1100 Virago, modified with much stronger and sensitive brakes and stiffer progressive springs in the forks and 15 WT fork oil. Handles pretty good, although at 75, I don't push it too hard. There is a section of fun road that runs over Tiger Mountain. These two young fellows passed me and I thought I would follow them to see how they rode. Both guys were faster than me, but I was able to keep them in sight. I could see that they were doing the same as these Harleys, cutting into the apex way too soon and slowing them down. i knew the road better than these guys did and I was afraid the rear bike was going to low-side because he kept stabbing the brakes in the corner. Sure enough, at a 10 MPH, off camber, decreasing radius corner, he apex-ed way too early and could not slow enough and ended in the middle of the oncoming lane. After that, I fell back. Thank goodness he did not meet an oncoming car. If he had met the Corvette a couple of minutes later that was out of control in that corned he would be hurt very bad. That Corvette was half in my lane when I was trail braking into a the same corner. I just kept braking and swerved to the inside most lane edge. Remember R= MPH. I learned that well about 45 years ago and practiced trail braking and changing my line tighter. Has saved me more times than I remember.
