seen john in 1976 he was playing with the quartet of the foremost italian jazzman then , pianist giorgio gaslini . he was playing a nice holliwood president pink drums with tunable pedal floor tom ( supposing his drums , no service those times ) . I was a teen ager and he has been the first of the great jazz drummer I seen in my life ( ALL them , including Elvin , Max , Art , Tony ... etc ) I remember so vivid his great playing , he is a great master , porobably not so well know international because he always based in New orleans

The bird's-eye view of the piano keys is a great touch. At the Landing I always used to sit where I could see a bird's-eye reflection of John Sheridan's piano keys and watch him work his magic. I thought San Antonio would never again have a jazz club as great as the Landing and a band as great as Jim Cullum's, but you guys have more than proved me wrong. Bravo!
