    G’day mate. Unfortunately a lockup engine isn't always a simple hydraulic lock fix. It could be the pull cord, Or it could be something internal in the engine And sometimes catastrophic. In your instance it could possibly be the pump its self that is locked up. You could test this by separating the engine from the pump to narrow down where the problem lies. 😃

    Still cant beat the wire in the ground for a boundary and now need to rtk and that stuff

    @rustyinspirations2 ай бұрын

    I have no experience with the boundary wire mowers.

  • @yoric7200
    @yoric72002 ай бұрын

    None of the issues he had would have been sorted with a boundary wire. RTK is far superior to boundary wires. It's much more efficient and you get a better finish mowing in straight lines, as opposed to the random routes used by boundary wire mowers. Plus it's much easier to have the mower transition between different mowing areas.

  • @mickdemi6
    @mickdemi62 ай бұрын

    @yoric7200 but if there is no clear service rtk is no good as it was explained here and on green and gold life.

  • @rustyinspirations
    @rustyinspirations2 ай бұрын

    I personally think rtk is definitely superior over ground wire. To my knowledge it's the same system used for surveying property roads etc. I'm sure it could be improved to suit this application. Maybe multiple references to get a clear view of the sky and still reach the robot? I'm sure they will nail this system in time.

    Hi nice video, you have inspired me to buy a drill press and convert it to a back lapping machine! When you first built the machine, it looked as though it was running a little fast even on the lowest speed (I think you even mentioned it in the video) In this video it looks to be running slower, have you modified the machine? if so how? Thanks.

    Im not a mechanic so I don't know what you mean when you say bottom end. Is your point that the oil needs changing?

  • @rustyinspirations
    @rustyinspirations3 ай бұрын

    Gday Robert, the bottom end is the crankcase, (everything below the cylinder and piston) The crank case contains oil to lubricate the bottom end. Although after time the oil can become slightly contaminated with a small amount of fuel that makes its way past the piston rings. In this case it was exssesive, to the point it had actually increased the oil level. This much fuel will thin the oil and possibly not lubricate as intended. I hope this answers upu question. But feel free to ask more. I'll do my best to answer them 😃👍🏻
