What went wrong ? It doesn’t appear bad in the picture, believe me it’s not looking good

The lawn really doesn’t look half as bad in the video as it actually is. It was rather hard to capture it the way it looked in real life. I’m confident that 95% of the issue is due to dry spots and soil compaction. Stay tuned for a future update 🤞🏻

Thanks for the content, new to the channel. In regard to the lawn, I'm still learning heaps and with kids it can get on top of you sometimes as well, but that's life. The Yukkas in the background, give the lower leaves a strip back, makes them look 100% better. Lawns are loking9 good though, keep up the good work.

G’day Richard😃.I agree, the front lawn is irrigated, Back lawn is on the list. Just got to make time to do it. I definitely got thrown early in the vid due to automatically thinking it was caused by excessive water due to rain and the water slide.

Best or the new year to you and the family mate. Would you mind doing a video of your solar setup for us? Really looking into going that route soon.

Cheers legend, right back at ya 👍🏻😃. As for the solar, im not experienced in the subject, however I’d definitely recommend get a reputable contractor to do the work. Ours was a cheap system and is almost 10 years old now and it definitely doesn’t work as well as it once did. I’d also recommend carefully considering where you put it. E.g. future fire place,A/C,or somewhere you might need to access the ceiling via removing a sheet of iron or tiles. 👍🏻😃

I love a good watering at 6am for my buffalo before a day of 30+ degree weather. My lawn is the greenest and healthiest in my street! It’s somehow satisfying watering when the sun is just coming up, knowing it’s got a good drink before a hot day! I’d say start to do that if u can. It’s clear from those dry dusty cores that it’s dying for some water. Also, any idea what happened with the happy amateurs channel?

G’day Antony😃 I tend to not water this often as the lawn gets used to this treatment and doesn’t grow a deep healthy root system that can help it handle a warm weather a hole lot better and really on less water. I have the irrigation set up to water automatically two times a week (not including the back lawn we do that manually at this stage) . With the exception of another 1 maybe 2 waters if it’s in the high 30s and 40s and in the past it has proven it’s self well. I think where I went wrong is miss diagnosis in the early stages and there for missing an extra water which is what it clearly needed. I agree there is something very satisfying about an early morning watering

G’day mate,Agree any disease issue up here would be self inflicted. I was definitely heading down the wrong track to start with. The fact that it had had so much water on it completely through me off track😃👍🏻

G,day brett. The weather has been very inconsistent. At the time of the video we had temperatures of mid 20’s to 30’s with only a few days over 40. This week is all over 40. And the lawn is looking good again

I find it fascinating that this is so different to some people. Post and rail fences are very common in SA. And I believe other states for that mater. I’m always intrigued about other states having timber power poles rather than Stobie poles like we have here in South Australia
