    @@ONEBADZ i have, but there so meny and they dont show the directional pattern, theres all different kinds, with vague descriptions. Most dont switch unless theres 21psi present, from what im seeing on amizon, You dont happen to have a link or specifics? I know i need one with a normally open state, that will opperate from atleast 0 and up psi, that way it will open when no pressure is present and or vacuum is present. I cant find one with a diagram of its directional swtching though.

    Don't get too boggled about it. It's all part of R&D. It's a proof of concept. After establishing that all worked and worked as intended a momentary switch was added to the turnbuckle assembly on the APPS and was fed direct off the battery through a hobbs pressure switch.

    @@repairvehicle relieves boost pressure left over in the aftercooler/intake tract when chopping throttle. Not having some form of blow off or recirc valve forces the air to travel back to low pressure. This can result in turbo damage.

    Tial Q 50mm comes with the necessary flanges to weld into pipe. Solenoid valve was obtained online. Micro switch was obtained from a local radioshack. hobbs switch was obtained online. There is another video that explains most of the setup. Button was on the shift knob at that point for proof of concept and later was changed out to word directly off the mechanical side of the throttle linkage.

  • @ONEBADZ
    @ONEBADZ7 жыл бұрын

    spudz spade a boost controller regulates how much boost you are allowing your truck to make. A BOV is simply to prevent turbocharger damage that can occur from torque converter lockup or shifting (engine load changes) it will not change your power levels by installing one. It also won't allow your engine to take on increased boost levels. It benefits only the safety of the turbo charger by preventing turbo "bark" or flutter.

    Kevin Colewell thanks man!! no swap yet, it's running strong with the D15 still 😃. Spent a good chunk on a new streetbike and have kept this sipping fuel for the time being. The time will come though. I may even just go with a b20 with some bolt ons for a bit. where @ in WA?

  • @tonyparkinson9508
    @tonyparkinson95087 жыл бұрын

    you gotta do more reading on honda forms before you just throw an engine in there. why dont you go b20? b16 are usually the most expensive out of the 3. on top of that your not thinking about the wiring, if any hydro conversions you might have to do. go b16 all motor or build a jdm b20b

  • @ONEBADZ
    @ONEBADZ7 жыл бұрын

    Anthony Parkinson was gonna use a b16 trans to avoid hydro conversion if possible. if course it will need wiring to convert from OBD 0 to OBD 1. I was thinking a b20 but was actually thinking of a built and boosted engine vs the standard drop in. B16 seemed like a good bet for reliably handling 300-350 whp and be a daily driver. B20 is definitely the cheapest route to go and may be what she ends up with eventually as I spent my build fund on a new streetbike vs dumping a $7k dollar engine and turbo setup in. So far it's still sporting the little D15 and running like a top and sipping fuel. The swap will happen soon enough but I'm in no real hurry for it. It's a little project car and fun to tinker without costing an arm and a leg.

    ONE_BAD_Z i had the same d15 in my hatch when i first got it, little did i know i should have just built and boosted the d15. the can make a lot of power and there simple and small. i ripped my sohc out and put a b18 block with a b20 head for low compression and throw a turbo on that untuned lol ended up blowing the rings and picking up a low milage jdm b20b. and it has a cable b16 trans cuz i think there is hydro as well depending on the year. b20 is my fav but i want vtec so i advice u go b16 if u can find a cheap healthy one!
