I was forced to watch this documentary for a religious studies course. Yes, some intriguing aspects of voodoo culture. However, this simply reinforced my long held belief that not all cultures are created equal. This is savagery. For those of you that feel obliged drool over this I will counter that notion with thanking the diety of your choice for western civilization and all that it is given the world. I was forced to laughter when I saw the word sublime used to describe this film. It is starkly filmed, grotesque and will appeal to those who feel some distant link to their African roots. I can guarantee that my many black American friends, all professionals would recoil at this film.

If everything has a spiritual side to it, which seems understandable to those that practice the art would it be fair to say this same practice is what caused slavery to sprout in the first place.
