I’m so glad you did a tutorial. A few people cut the house roofs in the wrong direction. I wish you would have shown that part of the directional fabric cutting. I’m afraid as others are to cut it. But this year I am giving myself a month to cut the finishing kit before the second botm comes. Hopefully I can make these roofs and chimneys so the quilt will come together by the time we are done 😊. Thank you for the tutorial. ~Martha

Thank you so much. I have made plenty of mistakes with directional fabric. Especially with flying geese and the 4 at a time method! I had to do some experimenting with that one. Good luck with your quilt. Thanks for letting me know you liked the tutorial and that it helped. I'm sure you will do great.

Except from time to time, I still looks right, but there is something turned. Regarding pattern directions: I use my best practices (having been able to acquire them) and ignore what is in the pattern most of the time. I would never make HST's using a QST method.

Great demo. I made this quilt pattern for myself in 2020. I had some beautiful Anna Maria Horner fat quarters that I had accumulated from one of her collections through the fat quarter bundle deals from Free Spirit that Amazon offered back in 2019-2020. (20 fqs for $21-23). Truly a snag a deal. The fabric was so beautiful in desaturated colors. I just love it. Good afternoon Deanna, I hope that you are feeling oh so much brighter than you had been, it's so lovely to see you bringing us some lovely new blocks to see. This will be a lovely lap size quilt or perhaps a hanging for that empty place on our stairs that always looks so bare when you are walking down them. I am just back from a community craft centre that does all sorts of things in it, although really it is just at the start of its long journey to bringing two disused old, old sandstone buildings back into useage again. I take my son Rory, who is autistic to it for the art classes that he is so into, so i go into the knitting and crochet and have made such a lot of lovely friends, who would help anyone out. It is so lovely to go to because they always notice when you are missing and always ask after you, this is something that i have never had before or felt before. A lovely lot of people who make all the difference to your day. Sending crafty hugs lovely lady hoping that you are having some better days. Norah, Glenochil, Central Scotland

Hello Nora! It's so good to be back and hear from you and others again. It sounds like it was a very good use of old buildings. I have a few nephews and nieces that are autistic and my oldest daughter teaches at a school that has many autistic students. I'm glad he has an art class to go to. I'm sure he loves it. I'm glad you have a group of people who accept and miss you. I have also missed you and my viewers. Thank you for sharing with me, you always brighten my day. I am also very grateful to "bobbinwithbrittany" for letting me know I did the block wrong. I have it fixed and will show it in the next Moonbeams video. Boy, what a good come back!
Oh well, that is typical of me. LOL. Quilty Hugs from CA.
It looks great! I thing there’s a step missing. The doves are missing large blue triangles on the wings to make the shoulders, on the opposite end of of the two small triangles, and one of the wings is flipped
Oh my goodness, you’re right! Thank you so much. I’m fixing it now. 😁
It's fixed now. Again, thank you so much for letting me know.
I looked to see if the pattern alone is available as an online pdf - it's not, what a pity. I love Kim Diehl fabrics and patterns but I'm not going to buy more fabric as I still have a lot I want to use up before I buy more. It would have been great to get the pattern itself. It's so good to have you back - I hope you're fully recovered. Thanks for your videos, love them. 🪡🧵🎈
It's a shame that you can't buy the pattern alone. Most quilters do have a lot of stash that they would like to use up. It's good to be back. I am doing much better. Thank you so much for your concern and for watching. I really appreciate it.
Glad you are back on-line!
Me too! It was a much needed rest but now I’m ready to go. Thanks.
Its too dark to see. I am low vision blind. I would like ask you to make light on so i can see .... Thank
First of all, thank you for your comment. I am sorry to hear about your vision. Unfortunately I only know the very basics of photography and editing. I would not know how to make the recording brighter without it being too bright. I used to have my sewing machine light on, but then most everything turned white so I had to turn it off. My apologies.
You don't need to complete a project in a video. Do the planning and cutting in one, the quilt top in another and the quilting and binding last. Take things slower so you can enjoy it, too...and not get so burned out😢. Prayers for your family, your husband and for you. Rest and recovery are needed. Take this opportunity to enjoy your time with your husband while he is healing. Pamper him and yourself. When you are ready, we will be waiting!! ❤
Thank you so much. I do separate some videos if I think the videos are too long. Thank you for your prayers and support.
Take care Nana. You are not the only one dealing with either burn out or depression. Know that you are loved and don't stress yourself. You'll get back into this. Hugs Nana.
Thank you so much. Everyone has been really sweet. I hope to be back soon.
Pretty quilt. Family first.
Yes! Thank you!
Pretty colors and pattern
Thank you so much
Take care of your family and yourself, we can watch previous videos in the meantime!!!❤️❤️❤️
You're the best!
I just found your video and subscribed. Post whenever you want and I will follow. Loved the baby quilt. Blue and white are my favorite.
Awesome! Thank you!
Nantucket Summer fabrics are my favorite and I just can't find it anymore. I wish they would bring it back. Gorgeous quilt!!!
I love them too, but I didn't realize just how much fabric a half yard bundle was so I still have a LOT of fabric left to make quilts with. Live and learn. Thank you so much for watching and your comments.
I will miss your videos and sweet relaxing voice. Prayers and positive thoughts are coming your way.❤
Thank you so much!
Take care of yourself and your family. Whenever you can put one out is fine with me. I’ll be here. Sending you and your husband hugs and prayers.
That’s very sweet. Thank you.
Get better to your husband and hope feel better soon too
Thank you so much.
