Hi Deanna, I was going to your site to watch something else and I was so excited to see that you are doing the Designer Mystery 2024 BOM. I just cut out my first block last night, and I plan on sewing it today and then cutting out everything else I need for the 12 months…I watched you through all of the 2022 Mystery BOM’s. Thank you. If I remember, I spray starch. I don’t saturate like some people do. I don’t have the setup for that. I have done very few blocks where I didn’t have to redo something, this just happened to be one of them. That’s why I lay things out before I sew. That way I can see if it’s in the right direction. Thanks for letting me know you are also making the quilt. I would be interested to know how it goes. 😊

I too have the kit and will follow as it’s my first quilt! So excited and your videos help so much. Love that I can stop, go back, rewatch over and over to learn more!! Do you see the little 1.5” squares on the diagonal then cut off 1/4” after ironing?

Is this your first quilt ever, or your first quilt along? If this is your first quilt ever, my hats off to you, you will have learned a lot about quilting by the time you are through. Yes, after you sew on your square, check it to make sure that it is on correctly, if so, then trim. Keep me updated on how your quilt is coming along. Just do not give up. Keep going, it does not have to be perfect. Thank you for watching and your comment.
