Transponder xtal is right next to ignition switch. Key has xtal in it too. Back when i knew a guy who removed both and it worked. Maybe a 2001. Idk. At your own risk. Just fyi. Not saying it's gonna work on your model. Just fyi.

This shit happened to me recently. Thought it was the damn fuel pump or hell even the fuel driver module. Turns out it was the theft light blinking I put the key in the ignition and left on the acc position for about five minutes and the theft light quit blinking prior to I also used the remote to unlock the truck just to be sure it was unlocked. As soon as I did this about five minutes after as stated the light quit blinking and sure a shit she fired right up. Definitely a strange experience but glade it didn’t cost me a testicle😅

Great job ford! Even the legal owner (me) can’t start my truck. That’s what I call “anti-theft”. Just wondering though, with a genius system like PATS, maybe your dealers could WORK ON THE VEHICLE. Making payments on a 2007 the dealer won’t work on.

Ok so. My story is the same I lost my keys and tore the ignition apart thinking I could hott start it like a old truck. Now here it is a month later I out in the new Halo thinking that would fix it but still nothing just a blinking light on the dash PL keep telling me to have it reset so I did that 190 bucks still nothing now ppl saying to get more keys and program them another 100 I don't want to spend the money if once again it's not going to work but like I say ur story is the same as mine HELP!!!!????

BAZE CHARLSE - So Put You Key in Turn The Ignition On (As in twist it forward towards the dash) then twist it back towards you and remove the key (do this 3 x ) ….right???

He said the run position which is commonly labeled the On position. Lock, Accessory, On, Start.

Thank you so much. This worked for me. Got a used transponder from a junk yard and using the original key the truck came with and the engine fired right up. It has saved me so much. The code on my truck was 12. Hope this helps.👍

@@rubenvarela4077 I just got a code twelve. I broke the wiring on the plastic transponder that goes around the ignition and down to the little black box that talks to the pats. Key( tranceiver ) send the signal to the transponder which tells the pats it's the right key. I ordered a used matching part on eBay and am going to junk yard Friday to look for the part. I'll send back the new used one from eBay if it works.

Ford should recall this kind of issue... And no cost to the owner... Just filled up gas and my theft light stays on then truck got stuck on the gas station.. Cranks but no start for my 1999 ford expedition.. Now truck is on the driveway after 2 mechanics and locksmith...

Ford pats problems no fuel pressure. check the body grounds next to the battery. grind off the paint..

Can't read all your reply, Ford ranger key stolen AAA sent out locksmith to make a key he said 15 min. tops it would take, that Ford's were his specialty 1 hour later he told me, in 15 years never seen this problem, (blinking anti-theft), no start. Cost-$250. You told me to call the Ford dealership which told me they don't deal with the Pats system then my research found that might need to replace the whole Transformer and ignition switch, but less than a week later I found my spare key in my garage call the original locksmith very excited, but he let me know that wouldn't help me because he had erased the original OEM Ford codes to my key without asking me! Now my 2001 Ford Ranger is sitting in the yard of the third mechanic it's been towed to with each one saying they have the Pats system inside their shop and could fix it the third one convinced me to tow it to his shop even though I was skeptical, now he wants $300 for his time with no fish or $1600 to replace with new transponder, so again I have to have it towed home with no fix. Not sure if they feel I'm a dumb girl staring blankly at them but would love to read all of your reply feel free to email me too

So helpful, but have ?, what if you didn't have original key but have 2 locksmith programmed keys but anti-theft won't turn off, so truck won't start. Locksmith gave up, dealership said need someone to diagnose the "Pats Module" ?? think your 'fix' will work with reprogrammed keys?

Thanks for the vid! What years is your Ford? The different year groups operate differently. I have a 2004 Explorer that belongs to my idiot friend. Between him and his wife, they have lost all the PATS programmed keys!

To program a key to an expedition im not sure if it works with other vehicles, the timing might differ but all you have to do is turn the igntion to the run position with the key then leave for 15 minutes after that the theft light will stop flashing then just turn the ignition off and repeat to a total of 3 times

Junk-Stuff ENTREPRENEUR of you replaced your transponder, all you need to do is put in your original key, turn it to run, off, run, off, run, off. Just a he describes. This process will reset your key to work with the new transponder. I tried it on my Ford Explorer and saved me big time.

THAT WAS A STUPID VIDEO! You didn't help for squat! You just told us you're a screw up and had to buy junk parts. Put the key in, turn it to ACC and off 8 times ending in on position and your locks will cycle indicating you are in program mode. Then you just press any of the buttons on the remote. If you need to program more than one remote just press a button on all of them before turning the key to off position. NOW THIS WAS HELPFUL!

Sam Cintron nope , it doesn't work at all. I'm gonna be forced to take my Hard Earned Money and give it to those KROOKS . Not really, I mean, I prefer Ford, but the dealership is ¥®π©€¥ up .... .. btw, I drive a 1990 ranger daily- that WILL NOT die. even after I did head gasket and found a crack on block And slapped it back together. I couldn't afford sending the heads into a machine shop. this ranger has 60k on a flawed engine. but the key(Pat's) ISSUE is on my OTHER ranger 1999. thanks for trying to help me. and have a good weekend. later.
