Toutefois, si on considère la distance entre ces possibilités de formes de vie, je crois qu’il est autant impossible qu’une forme de vie extraterrestre puisse communiquer entre elles du à l’éloignement évident. Et on parle d’années lumières. Mois je comprends que l’ensemble de la communauté désire maintenir une certaine croyance dans la population afin de maintenir l’intérêt pour le financement de leur recherche. Groan! A fairly good documentary. But at 1h 36m 40s, it mentions lasers are more compact than sound waves. That's like comparing apples and wingnuts. Lasers are more compact than incoherent light (but also electromagnetic waves). Sound is a percussive wave in physical matter and cannot travel through the vacuum of space. The fact that we exist does not lead to the question that "can the universe exist without us?" What we can say is that we experience the universe as humans. So although the universal laws may stay the same our experience of them will be unique. Other life forms will experience it differently, even here on earth.
