YAY!!! Thank you! I have tried lots of different strategies throughout my years and found that the stick holders are the most effective! I have a video all about it here: studio.kzread.infoMm3nPjNVm-g/edit

I really love the way you started this lesson! I am beginning to teach character traits and needed some inspiration... but I would love to see how you teach physical vs personality vs feelings! As well as how you use this character traits to help students begin making inferences about characters. Any chance you could help me direct how to tackle such broad subject with my second graders?

I would suggest getting away from saying boys and girls! So many students are non binary.

Very helpful video. So do your students have 2 different devices with them during virtual guided reading? One for the Google Meet and one for the passage they are reading independently? Just trying to understand how they can view a text and be on your video call at the same time.

@@inspiremeasap8151 Ok, that's what I thought. Are you having students read round robin style? Normally I listen in to one reader at a time during group, while the others read to themselves. But that would be kind of hard to do on zoom. Just found out my district is going remote so I'm trying to wrap my head around how this should look. Thanks for letting me pick your brain!
