Do you have directions to this place?
It would help if you pulled back from the map to get a better perspective of where you are before you pan in.
I’m sure you have something now even though this is the first time I’ve seen your show. I have a truck camper and I use the square levelers and they work great. Camco.
Great video! Planning a trip here with my wife. Any other mtb trails thats similar to this that you can recommend? Thank you so much.
Very helpful! Loving your videos
Been here. Did this. And agree that it is as far as i know! The trail almost anyone can ride and the scenery is wow!
I want to do the ranger tour sooo badly someday! It’s too bad Carlsbad Caverns is on the other side of the country. But maybe one day..
What time of year were you camping?
Those common trashy people that 💩 everywhere should be banned for life to all camping spots and fined so much they have to sale all camping stuff/van /rv bunch of low lifes
What is this campsite called
Twin lakes area
Thank you!! Just got home from a weekend at Twin Lakes. Tent camped almost in the same spot. It was very crowded and good we got there earlier on a Friday than many others. Spent Saturday paddle boarding. Highly recommend Twin Lakes SUP & Cycle for rentals. Couple owned and ran. Great people, fair prices, flexible and super helpful with our 4 children we took with ages 7-16. Going back for sure.
Yay! So glad you had a great time!
👍🙌👏
Great information! Next on the list.
Love Utah
content = great !! I totally want to go riding there. Video quality (esp while riding) = meh
Thanks for the comment!
I think Willow Springs now costs $15
Oh good to know!
Hey Guys! We definitely are interested in free camping! We hit the road in a few weeks! Love the established free camping! That view is magnificent... Thanks for sharing those beautiful spots!! 💙Terry and Terri
Can’t wait to see where you all go! Happy travels

Some great views 😃 I like the idea of no Reservations 👍
Right?! There’s still so much you can do and not worry about it
Thanks for your video, it has given me more options for camping spots that I wasn't aware of. Do you need a permit to camp at this location?
Thank you very much.
was there much night life here? Any little bars with a pool table?
Thanks for showing details like getting to the park, paying to get in and then starting the ride. Having never been there it helps to what find out before I drive there. Looks fun..check out 18 road in Fruita, Colorado. Cheers
You’re welcome! Yes I would love to do more biking, camping, exploring in Fruita as well!
Great video. Question for Luke, I would to know about your sunglasses over the glasses? Because I wear glasses, hopefully it’s not too personal. Thank you guy’s, safe travels.
Yes, often called “grandpa goggles” by his nephews, we found them at the grocery store! They are just cheap ones but so handy when you don’t wear contacts and don’t have transition lenses!
👍👍👍👍👍👍 😻😻😻😻😻😻 💯💯💯😇😇😇😇🥰
Thank you! Great info ✔️
You’re so welcome
We had my mom's memorial bench at the top of the hike, did you notice if it was burned down? Would love to know...I have not been back there in a few years
Dang I don’t know. I hope it survived!
This is like a portal to the Ice Age, back when North America had more megafauna than it does today.
So cool!
Do you let rangers know where you'll be staying and for how long in case something was to happen? Or is that too old school?
We have never done that, usually the rangers are busy and hard to find (unless you’re the one causing trouble haha). We feel we do a good enough job of checking weather forecasts when we have cell service and checking for updates with the parks that we keep ourselves safe. I mean, isn’t that what camping is? Being self reliant?
Will somebody please tell my girlfriend that we will not get killed by bears if we hike in Colorado
I have been living, working, camping, hiking, and biking in Colorado for 5 years now and haven’t seen a single bear. I saw more bears in Montana and Canada.
Great videos, highly recommend you upgrade your video quality to at minimum 1080p, or better yet, the current standard of 4K! :) (360p, does not cut it)
Thanks for your comment!
That’s on your end, we upload in 4k
Thanks for the video, helpful perspective on this trail we expect to do later this month!
Happy trails!
And it was delicious :-)
Thanks!
I know this is a super old video but thanks for the real life look at camping. No glamour shots just the real deal.
You’re so welcome! It may be old, but still feels like yesterday.
Thank you!
Happy camping!
Very helpful , thanks for the video... any more disperse campsite along grand teton ? we are going this july....
We used freecampsites.net too to help us find spots.
Great video ! Was hoping to find something just like this. We’re going to RMNP in a week or so . We didn’t get the timed ticket for Bear lake corridor. So this was great info . Thanks ! ✌️
You’re so welcome, have a blast! There’s still so much to see and do before 9am or after 3pm!
Thanks for the video! I am planning on being in CO at the end of September and I am planning on taking this hike to Lake Isabelle for the first time. I appreciate you showing the hike so i will know what to expect!
It’s a fantastic hike! I’m sure you’ll have a great time, the wildflowers might be coming to an end but the trees will be turning!
Great video! Thanks!
So if we come before 9am, we can stay all day even though we don't have a reservation, right?
Exactly. That’s an advantage to arriving before 9 is that you can stay as long as you want and don’t need a reservation! Of course, you still must miss out on things down bear lake road.
New subscriber here. Love your video, we have a similar KZread channel if you want to check it out, "Hunt and Gather with the Chatters".
What’s your recommendation for the best filet knife? Mine sucks!
@@AdventuresofMulehawk I like a 9" Rapala. They are cheap enough that I can sharpen them often, without feeling like I'm taking life off an expensive blade, but still good enough they hold an edge for a while.
@@HuntGatherChatters Awesome, thanks for the recommendation!
Cool video, thanks for sharing!! Where did you stay?
Thanks! Here's where we stayed: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oJ6g0858acqXdbw.html
We are going in September 10th though the 20th thanks for Information
Have so much fun! We think Sept is the best time of year to visit!
Thank you so so so very much for all the hard work! You have the best list of things to do!
So glad we could help!
