  You should see wild horses. Stallions are known to kill foals they aren’t sure of the bloodline for so they don’t waste resources protecting kids that aren’t theirs.

  He's the image of his dad! Love the way she checks the foal and and then bustles him away. However, stallion could have attacked the baby, mother and those flying hooves could have injured the stallion. Stupid set up just to make a video. Could have ended badly.

  I have, too. My neighbor’s stallion broke into our fields after one of my mares gave birth and his first action was to immediately crash into the foal and start attacking it. Thankfully Prima is a BITCH and immediately started attacking him right back, which spurred our own stallion Henrik to run in and start wrecking shit, and we FINALLY got the neighbor in to help corral his nutcase, but the foal was pretty badly injured and we wound up having to rush him to a vet. He was okay, but he was gone for so long that the maternal bond was broken with Prima and she rejected him upon his return. 🤦‍♀️

  @@stuffynosepatrolNo, horses do it too. It’s just not as common in domestic horses because people tend to keep them separate.

  @@emmawieson2121 it is very rare for that to happen, most domestic male horses don't really care enough to be a threat to a foal but some males are more aggressive than others.

  This is foolish. Stallions will kill foals. This mother happens to be exceptionally good at kicking which is why the owners decided to risk it I guess. But most of the time the stallion will win.

  Mare logic when it comes to a foal: - Bring foal over to stallion - Stallion doesn’t show any sign of wanting to do anything to her and the foal - Stallion backs up a bit - Mare attempts to kick Stallion for absolutely no reason Honestly, what was the point of her bringing her foal over if she’s just gonna move the foal away at the end ?
