  Trujillo was a known problem to the Las Animas sheriff's department. He was previously forced to resign by them for the same conduct and was rehired. He has had 3 orders of protection leveled against him for domestic violence, was convicted of disorderly conduct in 1998 and plead guilty to disorderly conduct in 2023 after instigating a fight with a teenager. The sheriff and the county knew they were on the hook for a potentially huge jury award because of his known previous history of violence.

  when the guy went to jail he had to sit handcuffed on a bench while the sheriff berated him for 30 minutes- that was unconstitutional as well and should have been a separate charge

  Tasers are LETHAL. They were never meant to be used as cattle prods for compliance. Not only did the dad get tased while he was handcuffed. The cop laid the taser flush with the skin. It’s in essence electrocuting someone. These cops both should be charged and sentenced.
