    I bought the Sharpie paint pen but I found the tip difficult to work with so I took all 4 tires off and cut open the paint pen and put the paint in a small container and used a very fine tiny little artist paintbrush instead. Another guy in a different video suggested using white flex seal instead of the sharpie oil based paint to prevent cracks. I might use that for touch ups.

    I regret watching all this tutorial videos after I've painted mine. I didn't clean my tires at all before painting 😭 even though the tires are all brand new and never been used, I'm pretty sure they still need to be cleaned.

    I've seen hundreds of wheel painting tutorials on here, this was one of the best. The only part I would suggest is not painting the inside of the conical faces where the lug nuts sit (just like the rear hub he masked off). I usually just throw some old lug nuts in the wheels to prevent painting them but you can always just go over them with acetone, etc.

    I usually just leave the wheels mounted on the car and paint them in the rain at night time.

    I’ve watched this video from beginning to end five-times. I still can’t understand what he’s saying. This guy is a Marklar. “I used the marklar but marklar turned out not to be as good as marklar so marklar looks great while marklar isn’t holding up so well so I’m glad I bought marklar because it turns out to be better than marklar despite the fact that marklar costs more than marklar.” When you refer to everything as “it” repeatedly and without defining the nouns, it’s called the “Pronoun Game”. Everybody loses. WTF is “it”? You keep saying “it it it”. “It” what? As in the Sharpie or the Dupli-color. The world will never know. Being unaware that one’s self is speaking in pronouns and not clearly defining subjects and nouns is a clear sign of low social intelligence. By this I mean autism.

    I ended up not using the crossovers because the tweeters is where yhe power cam from, so in order for 6.5 to work the tweeters needed to be plugged in, and I didn't wanna take apart all the wiring and all the stuff to connect the base where it splits to the Amp and then that to the speakers sadly

  • @lunaticleone8534

    For the rear do you reinstall the spring or delete it after installing the coilovers??

  • @VillainGarageWorks
    @VillainGarageWorks Жыл бұрын

    Depends on the coilover kit. Some have the rear spring on strut (like these do) and some have it located in the factory spot. In the case of any spring on strut for the rear, you remove everything spring related on the rear.

    I'm a 75 year-old grandmother with an 89 Pontiac Bonneville that I love especially the 6 cylinder 3800 ltr engine. Listened to you to get some education on saving my car. Unfortunately, dude, you said more F words that I can tolerate (and I really can tolerate some colorful language). Maybe you can learn to express yourself with better words ..."educate" yourself. Better yourself and don't use the Lord's name in vain EVER. Read the Bible No American with Christmas and Easter in the culture forever has an excuse for rejecting Jesus. It's later than you think.

  • @VillainGarageWorks
    @VillainGarageWorks Жыл бұрын

    Glad I helped in some way :) Amazingly, I actually am "educated." Did pretty well growing up in private Christian schools actually, taught me to now allow society to dictate my speech or thoughts. As for using the Lords name in vain, I never have. I have never once asked for money using the Lord's name, then used that money for personal gain. We simply have a different view on that subject. BTW: Christmas and Easter were Pagan holidays first, the Church moved Jesus's birthdate and death date/raising period to attempt to cover up another religions holidays.

    It's a "Sharpie" by way of a BRAND, but is this an actual PAINT? I'm guessing these pens can be purchased where art supplies/school supplies are found, yes? I've got RAISED white lettering on my tires, & I would want a _SMOOOOOTH_ finish where it would come off as having been ROLLED on, not dabbed on where it's splotchy/bumpy/etc. Will that be the end result?

    I will add one more step. Get yourself a spray can of adhesion promoter or plastic primer and spray a couple of very light coats on before you start painting. It dries clear, so you don’t have to mask it. It will help the paint stick A LOT!

    Paint pens are n/g no need to sand/grind your tires!! Just clean,use flex seal liquid and small brush.. been doing it for years..paint pens fade,crack...

  • @VillainGarageWorks
    @VillainGarageWorks2 жыл бұрын

    Interesting, you can get a crap ton of it for less then 20 bucks. I'd have to give that one a try. On the point of paint pens fade and crack, that I have not experienced before. Mine lasted damn near the entire time I had a set of tires. Only reason I did touch ups were due to my dirt road and gravel driveway ripping off small pieces, not sure anything can hold up to that.
