Giveaway Talk and Welding up the Passenger QP | Project S13 Boss

Finally made the decision on the giveaway...time to get rocking on it! I'm also fitting the rear S14 Boss Fender Flare to the S13 and welding up the fender for good!

    My advice is to save your money and get a true mig machine that has gas. Flux core welders have there place, but not with sheet metal, you have to make the weld hotter to burn the flux which means more warping. Not bashing the flux welder, That was 1 of my first welders. But welding on cars for a living, You have to have the right tool. Check out the Eastwood mig 135. Pretty cheap, with a excellent warranty.

    So you might still end up buying two machines. Oh well, at least you learned how to tig.

    There will be a funny story about that welder coming up :) But, yes, I'm still using the tig for any clean fab work. Such as the cage, rear "firewall" and such.
