The two people behind UK Barn Finds are Elton & Claire, a couple of 70's kids who just can't let go of the past. We live on an old pig farm (glamorous, huh?) and are automotive hoarders! Join us for car, bike and general motor-related content. We're every day, normal(ish) people, trying our best to balance family life and to share some automotive fun with like-minded people. We're not a big company, don't have backers, have never had any media/editing training and are learning as we go. So far, KZread has been a fantastically rewarding challenge and a lot of hard work!

What a delight to watch. There are so many "will it run" KZread channels from here in America that use comedy and silly words to replace component names to get more views, I guess. They get rather boring in a hurry. I enjoyed the simplicity and clarity of this video. My two cents worth on your Austin A30 . . . is to rebuild the motor if you can get your expenses back should you sell it later. Good job.

Wow a Škoda! My favorite car. Super rare now. Don’t scrap. 130 is worth money. Czech people would be interested in it. They have all the parts to restore it. Body seems solid.

My uncle had a a N-reg 1275GT, and it was like pooh off a shiny shovel! I absolutely loved being driven around in it, with no seat belt!!

Save the Skoda! They were a joke when I was a kid but they have a huge following now. On the less valuable ones just connect a tow strop to the landrover and just drag them it’s a lot quicker and easier, it will try to go sideways slightly but that’s half the fun. Great video
Stig blonquest drove one of these with great success in European rallies, tho more tuned obviously.
Loving these vids 👌 would the cars that aren't acceptable by the auction be worth putting on ebay, as other comments people might be brave enough for a restoration, or if nothing else parts cars 👍

I enjoyed that u guys did a great job well done my question is what happens to the cars once u get them out of there reating place so ie do u sell them on or fix them up etc, as ide love to know what happens to them after u free them.
Thanks for watching and for the question. In this case, we’re trying to get as many as possible to Anglia Car Auctions. There are a few of the ones from earlier episodes of this field find going through their June 2024 sale. We do occasionally get cars up and running, but we don’t do restorations. We don’t have the skills or the time. Our job really is to try to divert old cars away from the scrapyard 😃

It was brilliant to see the A30 live again! My first car was an A35, way back in 1968. I was so glad to see this old girl start, as the stuck valves freed-off. I am ex-UK, but have lived in Australia for the last 36 years, and your video takes me back in time. You have a great partner who shares your passion, and not many are quite like that! Best wishes, and good luck with some restoration work on the A30, because it deserves to live a second life.

It must have been abroad. Back in the day, you got given a reg for the year you imported a car, rather than age-related.
@@UKBarnFinds yes, watching the ACA auction video now and they just mentioned that, it went for 33K 😀 (The 57 AC Bristol got 145K 😮)
That sale was something else 😳 So glad we got the opportunity to capture the story.

that car is a keeper, remember Skoda is an old (if not the oldest) car brand in the world still existing. that's history right there.

Skoda is definitely a good parts car if nothing else. Having owned 2 imps I can see why this one is going to be difficult to move , because the back valance supports the weigh of the engine.
My dad had an A35 - no heater - was a company car!
