Also just rewatched the movie blue velvet from like 20 years ago. I always thought his character was a corrupt DEA agent. But then I remember that's the movie the professional. I think Frank Booth would have been scarier if he had some kind of legal authority than just being a deranged crime lord. Kudos to Gary Oldman in the professional and Hopper who were both in True Romance.

I like the fact that Dennis talked him into making it nitrous oxide over helium. It made his derangement that much more believable. So I think Dennis was correct here Lynch was kind of naive.

What a beautiful song from Stomping Tom Connors to the great singer K.D. Lang and her song is just as enjoyable . R.i.p. Stomping Tom Connors and what a legacy you left behind your songs were all great and i still listen to them and I'm 76yrs. old . Saw you in concert here in Canada 🇨🇦 at around 15yrs. old and what a concert it was .

He was cast in City Slickers but had to drop out when his wife got sick. Daniel Stern replaced him. Ricks wife passed in 1991 and he dedicated his life to raising his kids. Nothing could be more rewarding than raising your children but you can’t help but wonder what Rick could have done in films. He was really, really, really funny.

Ive seen thousands of movies over most genres from the silent era until present day (romcoms excluded, i draw the line there) i can honestly say Apocalypse now is in my top 5 favourites possibly even top 3, its a sublime piece of film making and acting, funny thing is, i seen it first in the cinema with the redux re-release and although I did enjoy it i didn't see the big fascination about it from what I had heard, then when I picked it up on dvd and gave it another viewing then it clicked in to view, a masterpiece.

I just watched that version, Redux recently and loved that scene! It really is my fav war movie ever created. Close in second place is Full Metal Jacket. The Industrial Military's Complex has become much crazier, since the Vietnam situation. Coppola and Kubrick really did their part in showing us something.

A true great man and actor..For me started with Maverick..And ending for me performing for Mr. Garner at the Palomino Club in California..I was up next and saw that his long table were of folks he brought with him and they were leaving..Yeah it was Talent Night..I walked up to Mr Garner and told him i would love it if he could hear one of my songs..Playing with the house band that were my friends..He said when are you on..I said I'm up next..He looked at me with his big black cowboy hat smiled and said CERTAINLY..He called over to someone at the door and said tell them all to come back in..They did and there were 20 sitting in his row ..AMAZING..I did my song and Mr. Garner came over as his friends were leaving..Shook my hand and said great job.... The song was..Just Making A List on my YT page..Love ya Mr. Garner..My friend Jim

Leo Gordon was one tough hombre in real life. Garner used him in at least one episode of Rockford Files, as an “aging hired muscle” type guy. I never knew their connection, and mutual respect, until now.
