I want to visit the US just to go to Remainders! Charlie from the channel “The Stitchery” talks about them all the time, and I’m so jealous! Unfortunately, a trip from the Middle East to the US to go thrifting, kind off defeats the point. 🤣

I seem to be making useless stories on insta lately purely for my kids and gkids and a select group of familia and a few diehard followers (that I like to call “my imaginary sewing friends”). I’ve been travelling on planes trains automobiles this year ALOT and they like to keep track of where I am and what I get up to…and the best part is it disappears after 24 hrs. it’s the best way I find to keep in contact with kids & gkids …less texting in different time zones involved. Especially when I’m in Europe

Santa Fe is beautiful. I see why people love it there. Today I am going to work on another Gilbert Top in a natural colored linen. I am not sure if it's a great color for me so I may want to dye it. We'll see. You actually inspired me to delete my Instagram for the summer and it has been good for me. It can be such a time suck. I totally understand not wanting to interact with the world sometimes. It's nuts right now. I just keep telling myself to look for the good. And I agree, I love seeing what other people are creating. It fuels me. Have fun with your family. Thanks for the video.

Beautiful progress on the shawl and sweater! It’s lovely hearing about your gardening and reading also. I have recently been stuck on a dress I’m working on. I’ve found myself asking my best friend about her WIPs lately, and I had to turn to myself and ask about my own WIPs! So I took out a hacked dress pattern I’d cut out last year in June. I was a little fuzzy on all the alterations and edits I’d done so revisiting the project felt daunting and I was dragging myself to work on it when their were other projects I’d be more excited to work on. I like that you gave yourself the space to work on something else and to get that successful feeling! I’m trying to power through this dress and reward myself with a fun project after. Thanks as always for sharing and I’m looking forward to more!

Sometimes we just have to play around with our motivation and that changes for me all the time. Sometimes a more in depth project is just what I need, sometimes the quick and easy fill me up more! I like the idea of something fun as a reward, I hope you get your dress done! Starting back up is always the hardest part.

You definitely use your time wisely and accomplish a lot in a day. I have a dresser drawer where projects go to time out. 😂
Not all days, trust me! The vlogging is very motivating. I'm sure there will be some lazier days coming up!
The shorts turned out super cute! I'm kind of in the opposite area of projects though, where I'm now feeling that I need to pick something back up instead of starting something new because so many projects have been in timeout for so long. It's great for me to see these vlogs from you, and I appreciate all your hard work. I hope you're having a good week.
Thanks! Yes you have to be careful- don’t want the ufos to stack up! But if you’re hating a project sometimes you have to let it go and if it’s meant to be it will come back to you 😂 I’m kidding mostly
I'm loving seeing you every day Whitney. You are so productive.
