Lots of sewing wins! I love that you were able to make two garments work for you. I need to do a little mending and refashioning and this vlog is motivating me! The vest is so cute with the trousers. I totally understand how you feel about losing your sewjo and not having enough time. I have been there. That happens to me during the school year (I'm a teacher.) and in the summer I am finally able to sew. I have tried sewing for like 20-30 minutes when I can find that during a busy season and sometimes that works. I think Brittany J. Jones used to talk about that on her videos. Happy sewing!

Homeschooling mama of 13, only 5 students now. I fit things into small pockets of time. I will print out a few patterns at once that I want to sew next. I will trim at another time. Tape at another. My youngest who is 9 loves to help trim the pages. My oldest daughter is 29 and special needs. She is usually hanging out looking at magazines near me. my kids are older than Sam so it is definitely easier for me now. I absolutely sew for my mental health so my hubby will entertain the kids in his shop so I can have some time.

The navy dress pants and the cream vest look so good together. What a classy outfit! I’m always impressed with your makes.💗

I do like your Mitchell Trousers! I've got navy Mitchell Trousers, too; mine are made with a light cotton twill so look a little different. I would like to try it in a drapier fabric. The Reeta sounds like fun, too! And I got my second sewn half-way up just yesterday ☺ It's so comfortable. Have a great summer!

I wish you the best of luck for finishing your pants this weekend. I'm in the same boat. Here's hoping for a Saturday finish!

I made the Mitchells last winter and I don't love them either and for me it's two things: I used a twill and I don't think the pattern works with a fabric that heavy (8oz) and I'm starting to realize I don't love high waisted pants/shorts without elastic for easier movement, it's more comfortable for me. Love your plans!

I made the Otto vest this week. It was a fun sew. I am undecided on it for me. The arm holes are so low on me. Mine is the same color as yours. I added an extra button because I am busty. Yours is so cute.

Yes I think the shape isn’t exactly what I had in mind- it’s a little boxy!
