Nah Zeus def takes Introduction. How tf are you going to give Odin the introduction when he literally has someone else fight you and disappears for a while? You took a point from Zeus for literally no good reason

Great video! I agree with all of your main points and scoring system, and I'll comment on two additional points: - Odin's fight really felt like an afterthought. Baldur, Zeus, and Thor all had encounters that showcased their power which was elevated after their first encounter with Kratos. While a direct confrontation with Odin is conceptually unfitting in the narrative of the game, a few glimpses at Odin's raw power through Atreus's eyes would have been great. The final fight was also severly lacking mechanically. Sure, he had a variety of spells and AoE attacks, but he had no defining feature outside of having combined most attacks you'd have encountered with standard enemies. What if we were stripped of various weapons during the fight and unable to harm him (say, he has an Ice shield and we only have the Leviathan axe at that time), making us rely on Atreus to break his shield so that we may go to town on him? What if he brought minor Norse gods out of nowhere (say they are oblivious to Odin's schemes or uncaring of them) for an impromptu 2v1, putting them in harm's way while he regenerates health? Some cinematic sections with some QTEs and grandiose moments (say, he's mortally wounded by Garm/Genrir, who originally kills Odin in the myths) would have also been welcome. - Zeus' character needed to be a big brute so that we could emphatize with the brute who was our protagonist, but the "Hope-Fear" angle killed his character. Keeping his brutish, egoitistical, raw power qualities, maybe a fear that his offspring & underlings may dethrone him in a similar way that he did to Cronos in a vicious cycle would be more than enough motivation for him to do the things he did. In a way, Zeus would be a parallel to Kratos's views on family, bloodshed, and upholding the tyranny of the gods. The fear "entity" is thus so frustrating because it not only stripped Zeus of his agency as is mentioned in the video, it was also strictly unnecessary from a narrative perspective because it made it bloated. Have a great day everyone!

Honestly I don't believe I will play the original greek games unless they remake or remaster them for ps5. I got into action games very late and I would never have played GoW4 if my Boyfriend didn't buy me a PS4 and the game for Xmas in 2018. Since then I been playing triple A games from as far as 2012 so going back to 2005 games (with the expectation of Kingdom Hearts) is just uncomfortable and ugly to me. I believe if they were remade with better graphics and for modern consoles people would play them but dunno if the studio would do that.

Have to disagree with the GTA2 Worst part. I absolutely love the game, still own the physical copy. But the save system can screw itself. You need $50k to save the game, and that's 50k you don't get back. You donate it to the church. The only good thing about the save system is the voice lines "No Donation, no salvation" and Hallelujah another soul saved"

No way zues could beat Thor and Odin in a handicap match! Kratos would have died in the hands of those two if he did not change his intentions. Remember the mural that was painted over by Faye? I am certain that it was Thor and Odin teaming up to kill Kratos.

You explained it way better than I ever could. Even though I like the idea of a "master manipulator, king of lies" type of villain, Odin feels just plain. The final boss fight could have benefitted from him showing some cool weapons and powers, cause his legend is that of a god of warriors, after all

I think the question of second son's canonicity could have been solved if the game opened stating that only the conduits who had their powers activated died due to a design flaw with the RFI only eradicating ray sphere radiation and thus only harming conduits who were already exposed to it not effecting those who's powers were still dormant only rendering them unconscious for a short period of time

I think Zeus had the best introduction because when you finish the game you connect the dots as to why he wanted Kratos dead: 1) Zeus killed his father and curse lives on 2) Athena told Kratos Zeus is his father

so my thing with the ending continuity is it doesnt explicity say every conduit was dead it said some people over seas were dying and implies they were conduits in that way its entirely possible that the explosion from coles sacrafice had a aoe like a nuke and the people on the news just happened to be at the edge of the aoe leaving enough room for people outside the aoe to survive have no idea their conduits and pass the gene on leading to potential mutation of the gene cause lets not forget the rfi activtated the gene but the gene was already there its entirely possible that it was already preping mutations to activate on its own from stress or other flight or flight responses also its entirely possible that people were in the aoe of rfi and didnt die due to their immune systems and being exposed to less of rfi waves

I disagree,... Zeus is not a Villain, an antagonist, yes, but not a villain. If you think about it, what is it that Zeus is trying to do? Preserve his rule, yes, but his rule brought about human civilization, while Kratos doesn't care about destroying everything and everyone in his hunger for revenge. So, Kratos is the villain in the first God of War games (Apart from Ares)
