Just a suggestion maybe make it to where flares blind sosigs at closer distances . that would allow you to see but not allow them to see you

I hopped back into this game last week, havent played since the Cowboy level. As always it was a blast. Can’t wait for some sort of ready or not style map with this game. Especially after doing some of the house run map.

Huh... With the blinding effect, I can imagine flares would have an interesting utility, not to mention adding something similar to mortar starshells for GL's & the like.

I love how this game has been turning out ever since the sosig agents came out (which is around the time I started playing), the game is always surprising me, just the other day I instinctively smacked a gun out of a sosig's hands with a melee because I thought it would work, and it did! Alas it sucks to get old and be too tired after work to want to set up and play in VR :( I still think this game is one of, if not the best VR game out there and I love to see the progress on it, thank you, Anton, for making this game truly wonderful! <3

Like the bar, maybe or even a mounted M2HB, what is on a tripod? Also, you should probably add a button to quickly turn off the flashlights if possible when you guys fix the ui. Btw this is my favorite gun game for well obvious reasons. I can't wait for the skyscraper map. I hope that comes soon.

You can do clustered lighting in forward render pipeline. But it requires reworking your lighting by programming a custom lit shader (using the same lighting code you would in a normal shader save for having to calculate your own falloff) that you can use code to drive a data table of "light sources" that are updated as vectors and colour values in the material (every relevant material), giving similar performance benefits to deferred rendering, but vastly more down-scalable and versatile. If every shader were to use this method and have a fixed table of lights (ex 32), then you could populate this table manually via code with minimal performance impact. I've seen a demo of this with 256 lights in VR that was barely noticeable on a semi-modern gpu. With gpu instancing you can also combine the processing for the clustered lighting to optimize it's performance costs significantly. You can use the same tables to drive scripts for interactions with lights such as shown in the demo here.

With all of these new features, what would really be the cherry on top would be a pressure pad attachment to toggle lights and lasers on/off without letting go of the fore of the gun.

issue with the flare gun it doesn't seem to produce light or at least not much found this on one of the dark maps the one with the paper sosig and ceramic and metal targets in a forest area so that would be a nice fix

PSA about the Sosigs: don't reply to them. At all. Replying to them makes H3VR algorithms think that they're actual VR players which makes removing them take longer. Just eat them and move on.
