    My father always make sure that his two daughters has money and can make money of their own. Both my sister and I are divorced. Noth of our husband had sex with another woman. My sister's husband in particular had sexual relationship with many many women to the point one of them got pregnant. Both of us tried to keep our marriage as thats what advised to us by the church😢 We glad we divorced them. Yes you read it right. Both of us, we were the ones who filed the papers and divorced them.

    It's the imbalance of domestic labor (AND emotional labor, AND mental labor, AND just generally being taken for granted) that's the problem. What makes it all worse is that the husband becomes nothing more than another child to raise and then wonders why his wife is no longer attracted to him. If a man that wants a housewife actually placed a monetary value on ALL the invisible labor that women do to prop up society and actually compensated women for that labor, none of them would ever be able to afford a wife. It's better to leave these men alone and let them figure out how to do this stuff themselves or pay to hire cooks, housekeepers, executive assistants, child care, and all the other roles they expect from women. Women do not need to waste their one life on this earth being a domestic servant just so some man can pay the bills.

    Now, all you gotta do is contact Dr. Emmitt Brown, borrow his car, hop in that DeLorean, then time travel back a few centuries to the time when “property” owners first started impregnating their “property” en masse but still considered, viewed, and treated the fruit of said property to be 100% property. There was no half white/ half property identity. The absolute best case scenario was for those children to be slaves who got to work in the shade rather than the sun. Usually, they were either treated like they didn’t exist (as in, Massa was obviously in the slave quarters letting off shots when wifey went to bed, but everybody’s gonna pretend not to notice)… OR, Massa would either just sell or trade the half human/half property away bc his wife couldn’t handle having to see the fruit of Massa’s decisions every day.

  • @blacksuburban2410
    @blacksuburban241019 күн бұрын

    Or if you don’t think you could handle going back THAT far and seeing what actually transpired, you can just go to the period right after slavery was officially abolished (legally speaking). But you’d have to hurry, though, depending on where you’re located… because there were entire regions where the news about the abolition wasn’t spread for > months. And when you get there, go to the Massas of America meeting, present your case, and shoot down the Paper Bag Test policy. That’s imperative bc the people who set the original rules said that one drop of 🥷🏾 blood makes you 100% 🥷🏾 in the eyes of those who created, then enforced the laws. (Small tangent: I hear my fellow Conservative Americans like Matt Walsh/Charlie Kirk/Candy O., etc. speak about race/racism and its place in modern American society… and their big “Gotcha” on college campuses and other debates is asking the question: “What laws exist in 2o24 America are based on Race?” And the answer is NONE. But the ink on paper means absolutely nothing because said ink and paper are both inanimate. So it’s the people who enforce the law that are The System. And many of them don’t even realize that they have and act upon their predispositions.

    For those who promote the traditional family with a sole breadwinner husband and a stay at home wife because it’s worked in the past, society isn’t actually replicating what was done in the past. Traditionally there were things like dowries and marriage contracts where the bride’s family or the husband set aside substantial funds for the women to access if there was a divorce or death of the husband. That was her rainy day fund, her retirement, etc. if she one day became a single mother with minor children or an elderly single woman. Today, conservative young women who expect to become homemakers will have no safety net in such cases other than re-entering (or entering for the first time) the workforce at an older age with children to raise, which often means poverty. No wonder these divorces are more acrimonious. No one wants to be homeless, and trying to raise children on a retail worker’s salary plus a few hundred dollars a month child support can easily lead to that. Such women before entering into such a marriage should save up a significant amount of money first to fund such an eventuality or negotiate prior to marriage a settlement to avoid this. Otherwise, the stay at home mom lifestyle is too high risk for all but the well-off.

    That’s great if you don’t have to move around a lot and went into hair school and got older raising for kids it’s unavoidable daycare is $800 a week when I was working two part-time jobs with our fourth child and my husband working full-time if you go to college and not have a family then you’re gonna make itdoing what’s right and you’re telling women not to have a family and be at home they have to be they can’t afford daycare

    Okay…. Here’s the real answer and in order to get the answer you need to ask this question first..okay ready? This answer she is giving is based on her cases in her career right? Okay, so she’s telling you the truth in that area of life she has information on or she does from her side of things. Question; Has she ever been married and had children before and if so did she stay home to raise them herself or did she pay someone else to raise them so she could go to work? You need all points of view from the perspective of those who are actually the ones who have the experience in whatever it is you want information about. Facts… literally FACTS ❤

    It appears to me, after reading all the comments and the comments to the comments, that we are slowly eliminating Motherhood from our Lives and either pushing or accepting that children do not need a Mother. So if Children don't need a Mother then for a Marriage and Family to work we don't need a Mother at all. Just two people (whatever gender male or female) who BOTH are willing to act like a Man, make the money, buy the STUFF, keep up with the Joneses and rinse and repeat the same formula with the children. Those of you who genuinely believe this model works and is brilliant I urge you to please do look at the worldwide statistics of *mental health issues* and see how your psychological health compares to those countries that do not agree with your model. It's quite Eye-opening. There's a Reason why God created Eve. And Adam cannot do what Eve can.

    Likelihood of divorce has nothing to do with your profession. Ugliness of divorce, maybe. But not likelihood. You probably see more divorces with stay at home moms because there's a higher proportion of stay at home moms just in general. I come from a large family where most of the women are stay at home moms. No divorces in my family

    And your point is? Yall love to sh!t on biracial people and lightskin people and its annoying 😑 cause what is your actual point in doing it...they are both black and whatever they are mixed with, but mostly black people the ones that the biracial people would more comfortably fit around cause of how they look, treat biracial people like outcast, biracial people have nowhere to feel comfortable because nobody accepts them and its always a debate or surrounded by jealousy....none of these people ever claimed one side more then the other, they have stated many times that they are both but they identify more as black because of their features..yall are the only ones making it an issue
