Yes about the older men. They don't even bother to save the marriage and show remorse so complacent they are. They even don't want to sign either most of the time.

I don’t believe anything about them pushing women in a better position to ear money, at least not in the black community.

She tried painting them in a good light to avoid backlash but in reality they’re forcing the woman in the workforce not because they want to help her but because they don’t want to loose their money in alimony especially if she’s not working. They’re selfish. They wouldn’t “help” a woman they are divorcing.

BW are working ANYWAY. 56% of married or cohabitating households in the black community have women as primary breadwinners. BM STAY underemployed and rarely have to worry about alimony

That's because the black husbands plan on being the ones receiving the alimony. My sister's getting a divorce and that's what her dusties asking for. Ladies watch out and be safe! Avoid black mayles.

Yep. I look back on mt parent's divorce and how my dad started blaming her for everything financially when he himself was a big time spender. He then encouraged her to get a job. Then he encouraged her to get a real estate license and start a career and then he divorced her.

Reason 2 is so funny to me. They want their wife to be self-sufficient and work for her income, JUST LIKE THEY DO. Imagine a woman paying alimony to her ex husband that doesn't work.

It does work and it’s a legal precedent. It’s not based on gender is based on income, and who was providing the majority of support in the marriage. It has nothing to do with gender.

Truuuuue. My dad emotionally and verbally abused my Mom for years (think yelling insults at her until 1am). Now that she's got a decent job and has moved out, he refuses to file for divorce. She doesn't even want the money. He just plots all day

It is more like you get a lot when you have a happy marriage but you need to put a lot of effort and time to hit that jackpot. And because most of us are lazy, this is what you get.

Its easier for an older guy to get a$$ somewhere else while the wife is home taking care of the home and kids than it is for a woman. Mind you these two people probably havent gotten along for years. Not giving someone what you worked or risked your whole life for is not called complacency, its just not fair to willingly give that to someone. The other person just doesnt deserve half of what the other has worked for; whether its a male or female

Men could answer this much better for ourselves: 1.) men are more stable 2.) men don’t like drama 3.) men don’t take marriage advice from their single friends.
