    Great Advice I see a lot of young hairdressers leave the industry because , beauty schools don’t teach enough , it just teaches you the bare minimum and they charge alot of tuition, most do an Apprenticeship before they get their own chair and that barely covers the cost of living or actually does it covered so I see how most can get very discouraged if you’re lucky enough do you have a supportive family while you’re going through this rough first 2 to 3 year. You can definitely make a good life doing hair

    Booth rentals are not good from my experience i felt i was doing nails for free to just pay the booth Nd still make no money i decided to make my own nail studio at home i dont have to worry about paying 700 a month for booth rental that was money i was able to make and keep and invest in products and extra classes for new product i felt renting was just loss of money ..

    @ananthepan it's going pretty good 🥰 98% of my clients followed me, and I'm getting new clients from our web page. NOT near where I want to be, but I'm hopeful🙏. Found a really great Salon that also does booth rent, so having my own space is a nice change of pace.Thank you for asking.🥂

    You had lots of knowledge to share here. Thanks for your straight forward, to the point list of things to think of. I have my own established salon and this video has made me think of how to filter thru possible booth renters in the future. If they haven't made an effort to plan their approach to choosing a salon and being successful..they may not be someone I want in my space to "represent me" and my name.

    Quit my first commission salon. For employees misclassifcation. I have very little clientele. My city is only booth rent. One great clips. I would love to stay in my city bc the bigger city is 45 mins away. Can you give me advice plz. My mind says booth rent and build and take a loss while pushing through. Or just find somewhere else in another city. I look at that as wasting time and getting a clientele who more likely won’t drive an hour to see me. I’m so lost 😞

    I use peppermint on my feet at nite. It does help me so much--taking the initial pain from a couple of my toes that may be throbbing. TMI?????? Anyway it does help my stress. The lavender helps me too and combined they work wonders. I am so glad you have found that they help you too Lindy!!!!

    I’ve been in two salons now, for about 7 months total... I’m dying to start my own rental independent stylist but I’m afraid! When is the right time 😭

  • @lindytremblay2619
    @lindytremblay26194 жыл бұрын

    Gaowy Yang I know girl hang in there it can be so hard to know when is the right time!! And it is different for all of us depending on our situations. I’d say that when you have stayed consistent at one salon for a good length of time and built up a solid enough base of loyal clients, take the leap!! It will never feel totally ready and it takes a lot of work.. and patience, and grit. But it’s totally possible!!

    Does your hair ever feel sticky or gritty or gummy using the dry shampoo?? Would it work on short hair like on your long hair!??

  • @lindytremblay2619
    @lindytremblay26194 жыл бұрын

    Yes mama it would certainly work for short hair as well!! I don't find that it feels gritty or gummy at all, in fact it feels cleaner then it did before! However, drug store dry shampoos certainly leave a residue. And about day 4, it is time for a wash! But knowing your routine, if you used it one day and then washed the next, you could probably add an extra day to your routine of not having to re dry and style!

    Cute ideas!! Ladies with long hair can do a lot with a hair band- achieving a way to have a short hair scenario by keeping hair In place when working or exercising. I think it is jewelry for the hair too!!!Really cute Lindy!!!

    I think this is great advice. Is it the same advice when you use hair products that don’t have any soap in them, like WEN products?? Does Canada have WEN products?

  • @lindytremblay2619
    @lindytremblay26194 жыл бұрын

    I am not sure if Canada has WEN products! I know one of my former clients back home used WEN and she loved it, but I don't know much about them. Either way, getting a good scrub between washes is important and every shampoo should have some sort of cleansing agent in them!
