    Won't work unless you have it like 30 feet from your router, unfortunately 😕. Won't work in my garage, so useless to me!!!

    Power on these is way to low. Most of them are like 1500-1700 Watts, that's not going to give you any real grilling power. Although I suppose you would be limited to a standard 120 volt outlet.

    Horrible review. He knew less about the products than I do. I spent a little time on each web site and knew more than he did. Not sure why some think it was great. The Tappeque has more features and range than he knew. he pushed the first two.

    Sorry.. when you start comparing accuracy, and some brand is 5 degrees off, could you please describe what should be the accurate temperature, and how you establish this baseline?!

    I got the char broil over the holidays and was excited to try it, however it couldn't do 400 degs after one hour of heating. I do live at 7000ft, so I will probably have to stick to gas.

    Liked your video very much. Char Broil is made in China, Weber is made in the USA and no assembly on the Weber.

    I'd buy a Bradley smoker but don't want to be tied down to having to buy their pucks, I bought this smoker and it works great! Good video, but too many "uh's"

    I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience kzread.infoUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.

    Part operator error and part equipment and set up error. I use mine on Kamado Joe and it has held temps for 8 hours to +\- 2°. Don't think I would trust this review because I don't think he really knows how to correctly use it with his equipment and setup.

    Thank you. I was given a small Electric BBQ with a lid. The surface was non stick but the coating was cracking. I put some aluminium foil down and put some chick pieces on medium. Not hot enough so I put on high and it cooked the chicken but they tasted bland. Your great video explains why. I have picked up a cheap metal tray with a non stick coating so I will experiment with this. Again a very good Video.

    Will the smoker work continuously without setting the time? Say you want to smoke low and slow for 6 hours.

  • @SmokingMeatGeeksMeatGeeks
    @SmokingMeatGeeksMeatGeeks Жыл бұрын

    To use the smoker, you must set the Cooking Temperature + Cook Time, or a target Internal Meat Probe Temperature + Cooking Temperature. Only then will the electric heating element turn on. Unfortunately, you cannot set both Cook Time and Meat Probe Temperature simultaneously. Choosing one automatically disables the other. You can check out the full review writeup we did here: smokingmeatgeeks.com/charbroil-electric-smoker/

    You'll get a longer smoke time with pellets due to the density of them. Chips have a lot of air space that doesn't make smoke. I have this same unit. Use some wide and shallow throw away pans for drips to keep it cleaner. Cheaper stores should have a bunch of them or just some foil with the edges rolled up a bit.

    I own the Weber & started out on the first try by grilling 25-30% fat burgers & everything else down the road tasted excellent. I used charcoal in the past exclusively & for simple cooking for a small family, the electric Weber can't be beat.

    Have both probes, the Meater + and MeatStickX. MeatStickX has the longer range and is more accurate. When reviewing, reviewer should conduct the test, not just read the manual. MeatStickX by far is the better probe.
