But why are professional thinking 6k is only for them? People really misunderstood the demographic for this camera! GenZ understands how technology works maybe faster than all those Pro KZreadrs from the SLR and DSLR era. And their muscle memories are routed in that era. As you so rightly mentioned 6K Open Gate remove the necessity to think in advance about vertical or horizontal delivery, and this is why this feature is there on that camera. Why should all new camera be for professional or me with my specific needs? If that was the case all camera would have been identical in features. This camera has been design for a specific demographic with specific needs which are not the pro KZreadrs in the Photo/Videos niche. This whole drama revealed the biases and how closed minded many of those so called pro KZreadrs in this niche are! And this is unfortunate.

This is awesome, thank you for laying it out so cleanly for us noobs! One note - I'm on OBS Studio 28 (newest), and for Mac at least, the Sources menu has changed. "Display Capture" has been moved to the Deprecated submenu; "Game Capture" doesn't exist as a source, but I was able to connect my Elgato Neo as a "Video Capture Device." Maybe this will help someone else. Cheers!

Well i not agree at 9:35. Elgato is a new brand in aufio and don't have expertise in audio (except if they bought a company and i miss the information). BUT, logitech bought Blue and Blue is a audio company and the mic on logitech products are made by Blue ^_^ And no expander is not noise gate. It's the opposite 🤣 Gate is suppose to decrese volume of the sound less than a frequency And the expander is suppose to increse it. Sometimes both are link and on the same effect trench and you use one or the other.

I was always under the impression that if you change the settings in the "Configure Video" menu of your OBS Source (i.e. Webcam 2), as soon as you shut down OBS and open it back up the settings will be reverted to default.

Still rockin' the classic 3x5 Stream Deck model over here. Aside from scene switching, I also set it up with a Launch button that opens up most of the little tools I need when it's go-live time (OBS, Spotify, Mix It Up, Twitch Fishing...), but most of my space on there is dedicated to Voicemod soundboard & voice changer buttons. Never know when you're gonna need a well-timed rimshot or vine boom live on stream 💀

I use a Sony A6000 for stream. Anywhere from 3 to 6 hrs on top of accidentally leaving it on overnight after stream for 10 to 12 hrs and still no overheating. A6000 is a monster!!

A ton of folks that have bigger budgets then the Average Consumers always behaving as if certain cameras are only good for non professional use. Well clearly those Bigger Budgets folks mostly aren't Pros. Also, the real Definition of what is or isn't a PRO is blurred. I doubt so called Pros even really know what Professional means concerning Cameras.

I really like these knobs, sorry Elgato I mean the dails. These greate things are out now for a while and I am still waiting for two I think simple but great functionalitys. 1) I would like to use the dails to rotate through pages of the Streamdeck plus or even other pages. 2) I would like to define stacks / tables of singel or multi actions. With the dails I would like to rotate up and down (and in a loop) through all the actions in that table. The name of the actual selected action is always shown/rotating in the dieplay above the dail. When I have selected the right (multi)action I want to run that (multi)action by a press of that dail. As an example: Having a stack with different light scenes. Every scene is a multi action, that sets the color and intensity of my lights. (Maybe: Job, KZread, Course-Recording, Off). Now I can easily select all my light scenes with just one dail. (I think this functionality is a little bit like opening a folder from a button.) So please add these two features - that would be so great, @elgato

Eh? I bought a Lumix G7, a PANASONIC camera in 2015 which shot 4K30 video, that was 9 years ago. Not sure what the point of the Sony 1080p camera reference was.

Fuji’s H2S has 6.2K Opengate and more options regarding ProRes/RAW. It’s APS-C but in video, meh, doesn’t matter. I own the H2S and Lumix S5IIX.. Lumix has better focus, and markers are great.. but the Fuji is def no slouch.

I stream on twitch and am a small streamer, like not even affiliate, and I’m thinkin bout makin the switch to KZread while I don’t really have an audience on twitch so that way I won’t be losing anything. The reason I’m considering making the move is cuz I looked up the revenue split between creators and twitch and that shit should be illegal that’s robbery and I feel it isn’t justified. So you mean to tell me if I work my ass off on a platform with no discovery and reach partner you gon take 70% of my revenue??? I honestly feel like they not even entitled to 30% but if anything the creators should get the 70% cuz that’s THE CREATOR’S audience…not twitch’s, meaning if said creator changed platforms….so is their dedicated viewers so if I’m choosing to stream in your platform and keep say 60k people on it like caseoh for example….why take well over half my revenue?? At that point I’d be doing twitch a favor so why take 70%???
