  I used to make good biscuits when I lived in Tennessee but when I moved to California you couldn’t get self rising flour or meal either. And when I tried to add the extra ingredients to make them it never turned right. So I gave up.😊

  Years ago, I used all-purpose flour and added baking powder and salt when making biscuits. It was always different from self-rising. I exchanged some messages with Mrs. Peaches. She's a sweet lady.

  Hi Helen! That praline sauce over the brownie looks delicious! Recently I made brownies and wanted a topping. I had a can of the frosting for a German chocolate cake. (coconut pecan) so spread that on it. It was delicious! I love Martha and that's how I found you. I stepped out of my comfort zone and started my KZread channel last year. Take care! 💖

  I'm sure that German chocolate frosting was super good. Long ago, a friend served brownies with vanilla ice cream, warmed the German chocolate frosting, and served over the brownie. It was delicious. I've wanted a KZread channel for a long time and jumped on board in March. I've enjoyed it immensely. I'll go check out your channel. Thank you for visiting and commenting.

  Hey Jane, It was an experiment. I wanted praline sauce, and cake seemed the best thing to "carry" the sauce. I've always heard you could add those extra ingredients to box cakes, so I did. The cake is all gone, but I'm still thinking about how good it was! Hmm, it was good. Thank you for subscribing and watching the video. I appreciate it.

  I vote for cornbread dressing, too. Yes, Martha, the black-eyed peas and cornbread made that potato salad taste even better. I sure did enjoy the evening with all of you creative folks. My sketchpad is lying on the bed. I just need to find a pencil and something to draw. Tonight, I had the leftover cornbread with baked sweet potato, green beans, and salmon patties. I did pour molasses over one piece of cornbread. I'm looking forward to your next LIVE. I hope I don't miss it.

  Hmm, a touch of horseradish would be good. My mother used to add about 1 tablespoon to her Lime Jello Salad. You never ate the salad thinking there was horseradish in there, but she left it out one time and we all said, "It taste different." Thank you @janeknisely4383 for your comment. I appreciate it.

  I’ve never had potato salad with all that in it. I might not like it with olives though 😊 I like the green ones but not too many at a time. The way I like to do it is to boil the potatoes and mash them up without the skins. I hate potato salad with hard chunks of potatoes. A couple eggs, dill pickles, onions, bit of mustard and celery if I have it and of course mayonnaise.

  @@user-yu5nu7em4z Thank you for asking. Yes, I have a Southern Living magazine recipe for hummingbird cake. I'll find it and post it or make a video. I'll need to go to the grocery store for ingredients. It has bananas in it, and it is moist and yummy.
